- Mega Stuf
-
I never thought I’d say this, but this is too much Stuf. When there’s this much Oreo creme, the cookies start to taste like chemicals. Stick to Double Stuf if you love Oreo creme. I promise you’ll be happier. —Jordan Myrick

- Birthday Cake
-
These are simply too sweet, even for me, a fan of birthday cake flavor). You don’t get any chocolate flavor from the cookie because the flavor of the cream is so overpowering. The best Oreo flavors have balance, and this one does not. There are better Oreo flavors out there. Trust me. —Jordan Myrick

- Dark Chocolate Thins
-
Dark Chocolate Oreos rule, but these Dark Chocolate Oreo Thins do not. Something about the lack of creme in these makes the creme taste exactly like the cookie in a bad way. There’s no contrast and I really missed that! —Jordan Myrick

- Gluten Free Oreos
-
Gluten Free Oreos taste very similar to regular Oreos. That is awesome for gluten free people who love classic Oreos. Sadly, these have the same issues as the classic Oreos (see #31). —Jordan Myrick

- Classic Oreo
-
Classic Oreos were perfect at one point, but they’ve been improved upon so many times. There’s simply not enough creme. Plus, there are so many other flavors that are just better. Is this sacrilege? Maybe. But finding the best Oreo flavors requires brutal honesty! —Jordan Myrick

- Oreo Peanut Butter Cakesters
-
Oreo Peanut Butter Cakesters have a satisfying squish factor, but they didn’t win over the whole team. If you like soft-batch cookies and don’t like a ton of sweetness in your sweets, you might enjoy them. But they don’t really taste like Oreos, and the peanut butter creme lacks the rich peanut butter flavor you’d expect. We all agreed these would be better if the filling were real peanut butter. Not bad, but there are definitely better snack cakes out there! —Ariana Losch

- Oreo Mint Chip Flavor Creme Chocolate Sandwich Cookies
-
This might upset some people, but there just isn’t enough of a noticeable difference between the new mint chip creme and classic mint Oreo for me to rave about these. I do pick up on the flavor of vanilla ice cream through the mint, which I can appreciate. But it feels like Oreo just wants to capitalize on classic mint’s success by altering the cookie ever so slightly and portraying it as a new product. Still, these are yummy, so I’m slotting them here. —Ariana Losch

- Golden Thins
-
These are fine. They’re pretty nondescript. If you love Golden Oreos and hate Oreo creme, go buy these. Otherwise, stick to one of the other flavors of Oreos. —Jordan Myrick

- Sour Patch Oreos
-
Sour Patch Oreos are better than I expected they’d be. The sour flavor of the cookie is balanced by what seems like extra creme, so they aren’t too, too tangy. The colorful bits are more for show than taste, but there’s nothing wrong with a little extra flair. Still, eating the cookie by itself without the creme leaves a strange aftertaste, and the texture doesn’t quite capture the gummy vibe of a Sour Patch. (Remember Swedish Fish Oreos? Now those really did the trick.) —Ariana Losch

- Java Chip
-
To me, this flavor of Oreos is a little unbalanced because the coffee flavor is too strong. It’s just straight-up coffee and not java chip. The potent coffee flavor does pair well with the chocolate Oreo cookies, though. And if you love black coffee, you might like these! I’ll admit that I’m not a coffee lover. —Jordan Myrick

- Oreo Thins
-
Oreo Thins have a cult following. Some people really believe that they’re superior to other types of Oreos. I disagree, but I get that they taste good. If you’re looking for a thin, crispy cookie or you’re a creme hater, these just may be the best Oreos for you. —Jordan Myrick

- Space Dunk Oreos
-
Space Dunk Oreos stand out with two layers of creme—bright pink and bright blue—and cookies that are stamped with “galactic designs” like spaceships and stars. The marshmallow-flavored creme includes popping candy, giving you a fizzy, crackling sensation as you eat. The flavor of the marshmallow creme is pretty similar to the traditional vanilla creme, and while some reviewers noted a bitter taste from the food coloring, it didn’t really bother us. Overall, they’re a fun twist on a classic, but they’re not revolutionary. If you’re trying to taste every Oreo flavor ever, we hope you got to try them while they were available, but if not, grab ‘em if they ever come back to this galaxy! —Ariana Losch

- Caramel Coconut
-
We all unanimously agreed that these Oreos would be fantastic dipped into a hot mug of coffee for an afternoon pick-me-up or, if you’re me, breakfast dessert (aka the sweet treat you enjoy immediately after your savory breakfast). Flavor-wise, these are clearly a Samoas knock-off and, while they’re not as good because they don’t have the same crunchy-chewy texture, their flavor makes them a good approximation. —Jordan Myrick

- Fudge Covered
-
This is a great concept, but Fudge Covered Oreos are just a little too sweet. You can have one with some milk and it’ll be a nice dessert. That being said, the best Oreo flavors have a little more complexity. —Jordan Myrick

- Oreo Dirt Cake
-
With a dark, brownie-flavored creme, a lighter chocolate creme with Oreo crumbles, and some gummy-worm-inspired sprinkles on top that look like crushed candy dust, Dirt Cake Oreos look and taste amazing. They aren’t overly sweet. The only real downside is that the gummy sprinkles appear so appetizing, but ultimately have no flavor. Still, these taste just like dirt cake (because how could they not?), and I love that for them. All Oreo flavors should taste as-advertised, and Dirt Cake really delivers on that promise. —Ariana Losch

- S’moreos
-
These are not giving s’mores necessarily, but they are delicious. They don’t taste like toasted marshmallow or even chocolate, really. Mostly, these Oreos taste like graham cracker flavor. Delicious graham cracker flavor, though, with a hint of chocolate. They’re good! Keep an eye out for this flavor of Oreos if it returns next summer. —Jordan Myrick

- Chocolate Hazelnut
-
This cookie is like Nutella meets Oreos—what’s not to love?! They’re sweet, a little salty, and nice and crunchy. This is one of the best Oreo flavors to dunk. The cold milk and the rich chocolate-hazelnut filling are a match made in heaven. —Jordan Myrick

- Toffee Crunch
-
The best aspect of Toffee Crunch Oreos is their texture. There are tiny bits of toffee in the creme and it adds a wonderful crunch. The taste, however, is very similar to Caramel Coconut Oreos (see #TK). But if you like crunch, get these! —Jordan Myrick

- Churro Oreos
-
These get big nostalgia-factor points for smelling exactly like a churro stand. The cinnamon-sugar crystals in the cookie are a nice touch, making them taste even more like churros. The creme could use a bit more cinnamon punch, but overall, these are pretty spot-on churro-flavored cookies. Well done, Oreo. #churroreos4life —Ariana Losch

- Golden
-
The cookie part of these Oreos has a sort of Teddy Grahams/animal cracker vibe. The filling is the classic Oreo creme you know and love. Typically, I couldn’t care less about vanilla-flavored anything, but these changed my mind. My favorite touch is that they have a hint of saltiness that makes the cookie’s flavor profile extremely well-rounded. While I feel that most Oreos pair best with milk, I think these would make the perfect dipper for a nice cup of hot tea. —Jordan Myrick

- Gluten Free Mint
-
The gluten free Oreos have cookies that are a tad drier than the non-gluten free Oreos, but they still taste pretty dang close. Mint and chocolate lovers who happen to be gluten free should absolutely buy these. —Jordan Myrick

- Oreo Tiramisu Thins
-
Oreo Tiramisu Thins are the second best Oreo Thins, if you ask me. They bring an entirely new vibe to the thin-cookie concept: elegance. They have a strong coffee bite and hint of spice—you feel fancy when you eat them. And when do you ever feel fancy eating Oreos?! The only downside is how they weirdly smell like popcorn. Not sure what that’s about. —Ariana Losch

- Lemon
-
The best thing about Lemon Oreos is the authentic lemon flavor. They aren’t artificial at all and don’t have a weird citric acid aftertaste like other store-bought lemon cookies I’ve tried. In my mind, these are summertime Oreos. Their light and citrusy qualities make them feel more appropriate for a BBQ or beach picnic than a traditional Oreo (which I consider a fall food). —Jordan Myrick

- Mint Thins
-
Of all Oreo flavors, these feel very refined. The thin cookie. The minty cream. The perfect crispness. These are among the best Oreo Thins. —Jordan Myrick

- Lemon Thins
-
Lemon Oreo Thins feel like cookies for adults. They taste like something you’d eat as a snack while sitting on the porch on a Sunday afternoon. I have never had a porch, but it just seems like the vibe. —Jordan Myrick

- Double Stuf Gluten-Free
-
These taste so much like normal Oreos. A gluten-free product tasting as good as a gluten-full product is practically unheard of. This is a huge win for the GF community and I want to give them a big congratulations. When we set out to find the best gluten free cookies, these made a strong showing, taking the #2 spot. —Jordan Myrick

- Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie
-
I love these Oreos because they actually taste like chocolate peanut butter pie. They taste like a mix of chocolate, peanut butter, and graham crackers. These aren’t the most peanut buttery Oreos of all the peanut butter-based Oreos, but I actually like that about them! —Jordan Myrick
Credit: Liv Averett / Target
- Golden Double Stuf
-
These have all the wonderful features of the regular Golden Oreos, but they have a little more Stuf. We love Double Stuf of any kind! —Jordan Myrick

- Chocolate
-
The standard-issue Chocolate Oreos have a less complex and deep chocolate flavor than some of the other chocolate options, but they are still extremely tasty. Their flavor is simple and nostalgic, like a Fudgesicle. Justine Sterling, Sporked editor-in-chief, astutely pointed out that the filling tastes like “Oreo creme mixed with hot chocolate powder,” and she’s 100% correct. —Jordan Myrick

- Peanut Butter
-
If you’re a peanut butter lover, you’ll love these. The creme is very peanutty and very smooth, like really good creamy peanut butter. I’m not the biggest PB fan in the world, but this is the best Oreo flavor for people who are. —Jordan Myrick
Credit: Ryan Martin / Target
- Blackout Cake
-
These bad boys have two layers of chocolate creme, one that’s chocolate cake-flavored and one that’s dark chocolate cake-flavored. And they actually taste different! Plus, there’s lots of cream. This is definitely the chocolate-lovers Oreo flavor. —Jordan Myrick

- Double Stuf
-
In my opinion, there is no reason to buy a package of classic Oreos. There is simply not enough creme, so they’re just too dry to be completely enjoyable. I believe we should phase them out and make Double Stuf the classic, standard Oreo. The ratio of cookie to cream in these is ideal and you still get the delicious Oreo flavor. There is only one small thing I would change about them: The name needs to be changed because what and why is “Stuf,” Oreo? —Jordan Myrick
Credit: Ryan Martin / Target
- Dark Chocolate
-
Hubba hubba! These dark chocolate Oreos have a rich, incredible dark chocolate flavor. It’s deep and cocoa-y and just a little sweet. They’re not too dark, though. There’s no bitterness. To me, these are absolutely perfect. —Jordan Myrick
Credit: Liv Averett / Target
- Mint
-
Don’t let those little girls scare you into silence! These taste better than Thin Mints and are available year-round. They’re minty and refreshing without being toothpaste-y. I don’t typically think of cookies as refreshing, but these are as refreshing as a cookie can be. Even people who don’t like mint-flavored treats like these. This is the best Oreo flavor, especially if you love flavored Oreos. —Jordan Myrick
Credit: Ryan Martin / Target
- Extra Stuf Thins
-
This is the best Oreo. I will be buying these from here on out. It’s the exact amount of creme and cookie you want. The thin cookie has a great snap. There’s not too much creme. These are relatively new and if Oreo takes them away, I will absolutely freak out. Praying that they don’t for all our sake. —Jordan Myrick
