We love Chobani Flips around here, so much so that we tasted and ranked every flavor. Yogurt with sweet, crunchy mix-ins? Sign us up. But if you’re keeping an eye on things like carbs and sugar, Chobani Flips probably aren’t ideal for your diet. The good news is that Lite + Fit Remix exists.

Dannon Lite + Fit’s Remix yogurts aren’t exactly health food, but they have less sugar, less fat, and less cholesterol than Chobani Flips, and you still get sweet, tasty yogurt with fun mix-ins. They don’t have quite the variety that Chobani offers—in fact, it looks like they discontinued one of the best flavors, Key Lime Pie—but you currently have three to choose from: Brownie Sundae, Strawberry Cheesecake, and then the brand new Caramel Apple Snickerdoodle Pie.

I’m not totally sure Caramel Apple Snickerdoodle Pie is an actual dessert (I googled and mostly got cookie rather than pie recipes), but I get the vibe they’re going for: apples, caramel, and sweet, cinnamon-spiced cookies. Does the new Lite + Fit flavor deliver on those elements? I tried it to find out.

New Product!

Dannon Lite + Fit Greek Caramel Apple Snickerdoodle Pie

Pros: This is my new favorite of Lite + Fit’s (current) flavors. The base is caramel apple yogurt, and it actually has bits of apple in the mix. It’s sweet and rich tasting. And the mix-ins make it downright desserty. In addition to snickerdoodle cookie bits, the little flippy cup contains white chocolate pieces and cinnamon sprinkles. It’s all really delicious.

Cons: The yogurt is sweetened with sucralose, and I know artificial sweeteners are hard to get past for some folks. I regularly buy and eat Lite + Fit yogurt, so I’m pretty used to the taste of sucralose sweetened yogurt—and I can tell you from experience that Lite + Fit’s lower sugar yogurts taste better than Chobani’s.

Okay, also, bring back Key Lime Pie, dammit!

Gwynedd Stuart

Howdy! I’m Gwynedd, Sporked’s managing editor. I live in Los Angeles and have access to the best tacos the U.S. has to offer—but I’m a sucker for a crunchy Old El Paso taco night every now and then. I’ve been at Sporked since 2022 and I’m still searching frozen mozzarella sticks that can hold a candle to restaurant sticks. Why you should trust me: I’ve been a journalist for 20 years (yikes), a consumer of food for 40-plus years, and I’m truly hard pressed to think of foods I don’t like (or that I can’t tolerate at the very least). Oh and one time I cooked my way through Guy Fieri’s cookbook and wrote about the journey through Flavortown. What I buy every week: Trader Joe’s Original Savory Thins. Fat free plain yogurt (usually Fage or Nancy’s). Honeycrisp apples. Sweet cream coffee creamer for my at-home Americanos. A frozen cauliflower crust pizza and some jarred mushrooms to top it with. Old El Paso Stand ‘N Stuff taco shells and Gardein Ground Be’f, even though I think “be’f” is a nightmarish contraction. Favorite ranking: Stouffer’s frozen dinners. I don’t own a microwave (I get my cancers the old fashioned way!), so I love taste testing things that I don’t really buy to eat at home. Least favorite ranking: Soy sauce. Don’t get me wrong, I love soy sauce—but consuming that much sodium in one sitting is probably illegal in some countries. Our frozen enchilada taste test was a close second; the smell of microwaved corn tortillas still haunts me.
