The Best Yogurt We’ve Found in Our Taste Tests

The best yogurt is creamy and luscious. It’s great on its own or used as an ingredient in cooking and baking. It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for a special dietary yogurt (like the best keto yogurt or the best vegan yogurt) or if you’re looking for regional yogurt (like the best skyr Icelandic yogurt or best Greek yogurt)—they should all be delicious!

Here at Sporked, we have tried pretty much every type of yogurt you could possibly imagine. Now, we’ve taken all our knowledge and compiled it into this neat list so you can find the best yogurt, no matter your yogurt needs!

Best Plain

Trader Joe’s Greek Whole Milk Plain Yogurt

Not into sweet yogurt? This is the best plain yogurt! Trader Joe’s stocks my favorite plain yogurt (and one of the best Greek yogurt options) for cooking. This stuff is thick and rich and makes a great tzatziki.

There are so many vanilla yogurts out there, but La Fermiere makes the best vanilla yogurt by far. Of course they do! They actually use vanilla beans, which makes this yogurt taste delicious and feel fancy.

Wallaby Aussie Greek Style Plain Yogurt

The best Greek yogurt we found in our taste test was this Wallaby Aussie Greek Style Plain Yogurt. I didn’t realize Aussies were making such good yogurt. Sorry, y’all! This stuff is super thick and rich and would be great in sweet and savory preparations.

Best Flavored

Oikos Lemon Meringue Greek Yogurt

We were stopped in our tracks by this Oikos Lemon Meringue Greek Yogurt. It’s easily the best flavored Greek yogurt we’ve ever tried! It literally tastes like a lemon meringue pie minus the crust, but you could always sprinkle it with some crushed-up graham crackers if you miss that crunch.

Best Vegan

Cocojune Vanilla Chamomile Vegan Yogurt

Vegans, rejoice! There are some very good vegan yogurt brands out there. The best vegan yogurt, however, is this Vanilla Chamomile flavor from Cocojune. It’s sweet and floral while still being subtle. It also is super creamy. I wouldn’t have known this was vegan if the container hadn’t told me.

Ratio Strawberry Yogurt with Granola

Keto yogurt, in general, is very bad, but the best keto yogurt is actually pretty good! Ratio Strawberry Yogurt with Granola is the only keto yogurt I would ever buy because it doesn’t taste like chemicals and the granola is straight-up delicious.

I love skyr and Thor’s makes the best skyr (aka Icelandic yogurt) you can buy. I love all the flavors, but their vanilla is particularly delicious.
