McDonald’s fans have been miffed for years over the disappearance of value menu options and the removal of the menu. But it appears that after many complaints, the leading fast-food brand finally listened and is launching a new value menu priced at $3 or less, nicknamed “McValue 2.0,” starting in April. It’s also introducing some fresh $4 breakfast meal deals to bring back old customers who’d been priced out.

What can you get with McDonald’s $3 or less value menu?

While the full list of items and their prices hasn’t been shared yet, McDonald’s revealed that this new and improved value menu includes a sausage biscuit and a 4-piece order of chicken nuggets, which will replace the current buy one, get one for $1 deal.

What are the McDonald’s $4 breakfast meal deals?

As of now, the options are limited but convenient, including the McMuffin, a hash brown and coffee.

What happened to McDonald’s original value menu?

In the past decade, McDonald’s faced inflation and, while keeping up with rising food costs, raised its prices astronomically, up to 100 percent. While this shift kept McDonald’s at the top of the fast-food chain industry, it also meant that lower-income households that used to rely on the restaurant for a cheap meal were now dining at competitors’ restaurants. In the last few years, McDonald’s has been trying to reintroduce cheaper options, like the aforementioned buy-one-get-one-for-$1 deal.

Hopefully, this new value menu is here to stay — and will have a more robust lineup when it launches, rather than just a few options.

Will the $1 value menu ever return to McDonald’s?

Don’t count on it. As the former corporate McDonald’s chef turned TikToker Mike Haracz said in his post from December 2024, there is no turning back to the old prices.
