What is this Lemon Crisp Kit Kat of which you speak, Justine?

Well, dear reader, the Lemon Crisp Kit Kat is a seasonal Kit Kat flavor first dropped in the spring of 2020. At least one good thing happened in 2020! Ever since, Kit Kat has released the bright and zippy Kit Kat flavor around Eastertime.

Why is it so good?

Instead of chocolate, these Kit Kats are coated in lemon-flavored creme. And that lemon cream is so zesty and bright and shockingly refreshing—like room temperature lemon sorbet. When the Sporked crew tasted a whole slew of Kit Kats—both domestic and international—Lemon Crisp Kit Kats were one of the only two American Kit Kats that actually made it onto our ranking of the best flavors

What’s the deal at Dollar Tree?

You can get a big ol’ bag of these delicious, seasonal Kit Kats right now at Dollar Tree for just $5.

Does Dollar Tree have any other good Easter candy deals?

Yer darn tootin’! You can get a bag of Candy Coated Tootsie Roll Eggs for $1.25. We just tried these things and they are fun and good (as long as you like Tootsie Rolls). You can also get a 4-pack of Reese’s Eggs for $1.25. And you can even score a Fruity Pebbles Easter Bunny—one of the best chocolate Easter bunnies you can buy—for just $1.25.

About the Author

Justine Sterling

Hi! I’m the editor-in-chief of Sporked. I will never turn down a fresh-shucked oyster but I’ll also leap at whatever new product Reese’s releases and I love a Tostitos Hint of Lime, even if there is no actual lime in the ingredients. Why you should trust me: I have been writing about food and beverages for well over a decade and am an avid at-home cook and snacker. I began my career writing about fine dining and recipes, moved into cocktails and spirits, and now I talk about groceries. If you can eat it or drink it, I’ve probably written about it. What I buy every week: Trader Joe’s dried okra. Appleton Farms prosciutto from Aldi. Some sort of Trader Joe’s cheese (I’m into the aged gouda at the moment). Frozen waffles (usually the Eggo Cinnamon Toast Minis). Spindrift water (loving the Cosmopolitan right now). Favorite ranking: Smoked salmon. Imagine me as Scrooge McDuck but instead of coins I’m diving into a vault of slippery smoked salmon slices. Pure joy. I also found some real steals in that taste test! Least favorite ranking: Canned oysters. I had such high hopes for this but it quickly became a chore. The kitchen smelled like an uncleaned aquarium.
