New Pringles Flavor! BBQ Ribs Pringles Spotted on Dollar General Shelves

Sound the new Pringles flavor klaxon! It’s time for another one. The pace at which Pringles puts out new flavors is, for want of a better word, relentless: Every time you turn around, it’s got some new option that pushes the boat out even further (we point you to the recent UK-exclusive Burger King flavored Pringles as evidence of this). This summer, though, it looks as though it’s going for something a bit simpler, while still keeping things interesting. We’ve just received word that BBQ Ribs Pringles have been found at Dollar General.

BBQ Ribs Pringles

Real-life evidence of the new BBQ Ribs Pringles was posted by @kdsnackfinds over on Instagram in a story – if you can’t see it by the time you get to this article, trust us, it was there! Coming in a pink can, these limited-time Pringles promise a saucy, meaty flavor, if the product art is anything to go by. @kdsnackfinds didn’t post a review of these Pringles, so we’re not sure how well it sticks the landing on the flavor front, but we are tentatively hopeful.

We bear this hope because, to be honest, Pringles hasn’t always stuck the landing on BBQ flavors – as far as we’re concerned, anyway. Its Texas BBQ Brisket Pringles received a 6/10 in our 2024 taste test, and they had a slightly insistent smokiness that got in the way of everything else. More recently, it’s doubled down on barbecue options, with a Carolina Pulled Pork BBQ flavor that folks on Reddit have said hits the spot, and has a full flavor that isn’t just dominated by BBQ sauce.

And I must admit that I have previous form with rib-flavored Pringles…

Do You? How?

…because we have them over here in the UK. In our supermarkets this side of the Atlantic, we currently have access to Hot Smokin’ BBQ Ribs flavor Pringles, which I am personally a big fan of. I’ll be the first to admit that they don’t taste exactly like ribs, but they have a nice balance of smokiness, sweetness, and heat, and a good boldness that you don’t get with other chips (or crisps, I should say). BBQ purists might be less impressed, but for the layman like me, who just likes his snacks to taste good…well, they do taste good. But hey. I like Pringles.

As for these Dollar General-located Pringles, I’d grab them now before they disappear: You never know when they’re gonna come and go. These are ideal for kicking back with at a barbecue, while you wait for the actual ribs you’re cooking to be ready. And while you’re there, pick up a pack of the new Dr Pepper Freeze Pops that have been making waves on the good old internet. They’ll be perfect for dessert.
