You wouldn’t know how nonstop Little Debbie’s pace is by looking at a box of its snack cakes. The branding for its cozy treats is peak nostalgia, with its old-school vibe suggesting a never-changing range of items. In fact, the folks at Little Debbie seem to never sleep, if its relentless barrage of new products is anything to go by. So far this year, we’ve had single-serving birthday cakes, oatmeal creme pie ice cream bars, new soft-baked cookies, and old-fashioned donuts. It’s been a lot.

Now, it’s striking again, but this time with a returning favorite. Little Debbie Mother’s Day Strawberry and Lemon Cakes are back, and we’ve got the lowdown.
I Love You, Mom – Here’s A Snack Cake
Little Debbie Mother’s Day snack cakes are making their glorious comeback this year, and they’re leaning heavily into spring flavors. First up are its Strawberry cakes, individually wrapped finger cakes that are built with strawberry sponge sandwiched around a layer of creme, and coated with white icing and pink swirls. Then, you’ve got its Lemon flavor – which is basically the same deal, except you have a lemon sponge and lemon swirls on top.
As Little Debbie says on its website, these flavors are squarely Mom-focused, and “they are perfect for an afternoon lunch or a special party celebrating her! She can enjoy these scrumptious treats with her favorite cup of coffee or tea.” Well, how quaint. Plus, each box has a little cut-out card section on the back, so you can write a message expressing your love to your favorite person. Love ya, Mom.
Where Can I Find These Snack Cakes?
Everywhere! Well, kinda. Little Debbie is going big with the reach of its Mother’s Day snack cakes, and they’re in all of the places you’d expect to find its products. That means Walmart, Food Lion, Dollar Tree, Food 4 Less, Target, Winco, Kroger, Publix, and other retailers will have these cakes ready to go. They won’t stick around long after Mother’s Day, so don’t sleep on them if you’re interested.
And if you’re taking a punt on them for the first time, rest assured that they are pretty good – well, if customers are anything to go by, anyway. Last year, shoppers over on Reddit discussed the cakes, with the consensus being that they’re winners. Plus, we love that they’re not too sweet, which is a big risk with snack cakes like this.
These are just the start of the Mother’s Day snack options that we’re about to see a lot of in the coming weeks; mark our words, people. In the meantime, check out our guide from last year for some food inspo for the big day.
