Earlier this year, FLRT Energy debuted on shelves nationwide. These fruity little energy drinks are packed with biotin, zinc, and vitamins to support health and immunity–but how do they taste? FLRT sent over all four flavors to your favorite responsibly-caffeinated beverage reviewer. Let’s find out whether these stand apart from a growing crowd of femme-focused energy drinks.
- FLRT Guava Lava Energy Review
-
Pros: FLRT is described as “Vibrant Energy”, and they aren’t kidding. There’s a creaminess to this drink that came out of nowhere. While the FLRT Energy line isn’t actually nitrogenated, this could have fooled me in a blind taste test. The guava is legit–no small feat, considering how rarely the fruit appears as a primary flavor note.
Cons: Is that for a reason, though? I’ve never met anyone who proclaimed guava their favorite fruit. This energy drink was novel, but not necessarily a flavor I wanted to experience for an entire energy drink

- FLRT Strawberry Fling Energy Review
-
Pros: There’s a trend towards “real” strawberry flavor these days. Rather than leaning into that familiar, fake strawberry we all know from candy and “juice products”, these newer drinks taste fresh. While some previous attempts at authentic strawberry energy drinks have tasted borderline unripe, FLRT’s super-bright take on the concept is right on the money.
Cons: Strawberry is a popular flavor profile, meaning there’s plenty of other options to compare this drink to. This is solid, but it isn’t my favorite zero-sugar strawberry energy drink ever made.

- FLRT Berry Tempting Energy Review
-
Pros: Some mixed berry drinks lean entirely toward tart or sweet, but this FLRT energy drink manages to deliver both in spades without either being overwhelming. Unlike other “mixed berry” drinks I’ve tried, I can pick out different authentic berries in the flavor blend. After two single-fruit FLRTs, I’m glad to taste the depth of flavor in this option. If you’re only going to try one FLRT flavor, this is the one to hunt down.
Cons: The balance of tart and sweet comes at the cost of being delivered in waves–first tart, then sweet, then a settling of the two. I’m not entirely against it, but it doesn’t have the same smoothness as the previous flavors.

- FLRT Sunset Squeeze Energy Review
-
Pros: I’m truly conflicted about this drink, y’all. The initial sip was so aggressively grapefruit-forward that I felt attacked. The following sips actually delivered the promised orange and pineapple, mellowing out into a lovely citrus blend. This is a great entry into the wildly popular, borderline crowded zero-sugar grapefruit energy space.
Cons: Every sip feels a little different from the last. If you want your energy drink to be an experience, this is the FLRT for you…. I’m not sure it’s for me.
