Strawberry Brioche Waffles, Spring Vegetable Tarts, and Cookies & Creme Cookie Mix!

Videos by Sporked

Half the fun of going to Trader Joe’s is discovering what new items are popping up on shelves. But if you want to have a heads up on what new tastes and treats to watch out form, stick with us. Here are five new Trader Joe’s items we spotted this week.

Strawberry Brioche Style Liège Waffles

I’ve been a big fan of Trader Joe’s regular Brioche Liège Waffles for a while now (as well as their seasonal pumpkin spice flavor), so there’s no way I’m missing this new version, which adds an infusion of strawberry to the mix. Oh, and if you’re wondering what exactly a “Liège waffle” is, we’ve got you covered here. ($4.99)

Cookies & Creme Cookie Mix

There’s a lot of chocolate in this cookie mix, as it contains not only “chocolate sandwich cream cookie pieces” (which is a long way to say “pieces of Joe-Joe’s”), but also “white chocolately chips.” That’s probably why these things look so nice and gooey, just like a good chocolate cookie should be. ($3.99)

Ham & Cheese Sandwich

The name may sound basic, but this ready-to-eat sandwich is inspired by the classic Parisian sandwich “jambon et buerre,” with uncured ham, gruyere cheese, and stone ground mustard on a salted-butter baguette. ($5.49)

Mini Blueberry Scones

This box of 12 frozen ready-to-bake mini scones comes pre-portioned and ready for you to drop in to the oven, so you get all of the tastiness of fresh scones, with none of the clean up of regular baking. ($5.49)

Spring Vegetable Tart

This limited-time savory tart features roasted carrots, caramelized onions, asparagus, artichoke and goat cheese, all served on a flaky, buttery crust. ($9.99) Man, why does spring have to end so quickly?
