Right now, every fast food and fast-casual chain (hi, Chili’s!) is going all-out to offer bang for your buck. Value menus are eeeeverywhere, folks. But it’s worth remembering that value isn’t necessarily just created by discounts – sometimes, it’s created by making your brand feel that much more, shall we say, upmarket.

That’s the approach that Chick-fil-A has decided to take. It’s currently testing out a new concept called Little Blue Menu, a higher-end vibe that bridges the gap between fast food and restaurant fare. And we’ve got the lowdown on it all, right here.
What Is Little Blue Menu?
To us, Little Blue Menu looks like a move from Chick-fil-A to expand both its menu and its output, in a setting that feels somewhere between a restaurant and a diner. Although it’s a dine-in concept, you still order at the counter – but its menu is way more expansive than what you’d get at a regular Chick-fil-A (more on that later).
There’s currently only one Little Blue Menu location in College Park, Maryland, which is open until 10:00 PM every night, for all of your dining needs. It’s unclear whether Chick-fil-A is actively planning to expand this concept even further; it might just be testing the waters for now. There have been a couple of examples recently of fast food chains trying out new concepts that haven’t quite landed (like CosMc’s, the offshoot from McDonald’s that focused on new drinks), so it could be playing it cool for the time being.
What Does It Serve?
Here’s the fun bit! Little Blue Door still serves chicken, but in the form of a bunch of different bone-in and boneless wing flavors and styles – and you can still get a classic Chick-fil-A sandwich and those waffle fries, although there are also regular french fries, too. Chick-fil-A’s chicken remains at the top of the pack according to customers, so we don’t doubt that this news will come as sweet relief.
But! It also has burgers, people. Burgers. Full-on regular burgers, cheeseburgers, bacon burgers, and avo burgers. It’s also got a bunch of pizzas, including a Chick-fil-A pizza, adorned with chopped Chick-fil-A nuggets and pickles. We thought this day would never come…
Is It Any Good?
According to people who have tried it, yes, it is! Food Instagrammer @brandonblogs took a trip over to Little Blue Door and documented the experience in glowing terms. “Everything I tried was great and I’d definitely return,” the blogger said. “The burger was similar to what you’d find at Shake Shack, fries tasted better than the regular waffle fries in my opinion, and the Chick-Fil-A pizza basically takes the best parts of CFA but bakes them on a pizza.”
The food definitely looks good, too: The pictures that @brandonblogs posted show a burger that definitely looks more restaurant-y than you’d expect from Chick-fil-A, and the pizza is making me hungry, even this early in the day. Sold? Get yourself down there.
