Cracker Barrel Is Bringing Back Fan Favorite Meals This Summer

I don’t know about you, but I always stop at Cracker Barrel on a long road trip. There’s something about a glass of sweet tea and biscuits that just hits different after being stuck in a car for hours on end. And now, there’s something new to look forward to on those road trip stops. Cracker Barrel is bringing back a beloved menu—Campfire Meals—along with an all new menu item.

What are Cracker Barrel’s Campfire Meals? 

If you’re unfamiliar with Cracker Barrel’s Campfire Meals, they are campfire-seasoned dishes inspired by the nostalgia of outdoor cooking — think anything you’d cook over an open fire while camping. It’s comfort food that feels like you should be eating it under the stars rather than under fluorescent lighting.

This summer, Cracker Barrel is bringing back two of their classic Campfire meals:

Campfire Chicken: A marinated half-chicken seasoned with “campfire” spices and slow-cooked in foil with sweet corn on the cob, red skin potatoes, carrots, grape tomatoes, and onions in a buttery broth. 

Campfire Beef: Slow braised beef with “campfire” vegetables and spices. 

All entrees will be served with buttermilk biscuits and cornbread muffins. As they should be. If biscuits aren’t involved, what are we even doing here?

What’s the new Campfire Meal?

The newest Campfire Meal coming to the menu is the Campfire Breakfast Skillet. Set to debut this summer, this skillet will feature bacon, smoked sausage, roasted red peppers and onions, topped with Colby cheese. It will be served over three scrambled eggs and Country Homestyle Potatoes (a brand new side on the menu).

I don’t know about you, but this savory breakfast dish has me drooling already. Fork in hand. 

Plus two fan-favorite dessert skillets are coming back

You might be stuffed by the end of your meal, however, no meal is complete without dessert. There’s always room for dessert and Cracker Barrel understands that . 

On the menu you’ll find a s’mores brownie skillet topped with a melted Hershey’s bar and cinnamon roll skillet covered with decadent cream cheese icing.

There are Campfire drinks too!

Although I’m a water with dinner and lunch type of gal, it would be a missed opportunity for me not to mention the beverages hitting the Cracker Barrel Campfire menu.

If you’re craving a sugary drink, then you’ll want to opt for the s’mores latte made with chocolate sauce, espresso, and steamed milk, topped with whipped cream, drizzled with marshmallow sauce, and finished with a graham cracker crumble. 

For something more refreshing, you can order a watermelon lemonade or a watermelon mimosa if you want a buzz. 

When will the returning and new summer menu items be available at Cracker Barrel?

A specific date hasn’t been announced quite yet. You’ll want to keep your eyes peeled on their socials for the latest updates so you don’t miss out. And if you simply cannot wait to get a taste of Cracker Barrel’s “campfire seasoning” they’re already selling Campfire Kettle Chips.
