There are two types of grocery shoppers in the world: those who prep for their trip in some capacity (make a list, research what’s in season, etc.) and those who just go in with an open heart and let the food speak to them. I’m in the latter.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll still go to the store when I get wind of some new product that’s just been released thanks to my favorite website, Sporked. I’m just at my best when I can freely walk between the aisles and stumble upon something fun.
I see the first type, though. You have a right to know what’s coming and what to expect when you walk into the grocery store. We’re here for you.
While Costco might not take the time to publish their release schedule for their Costco bar cakes, we’ll fill in the gap. While this certainly isn’t definitive, at the very least the following is a rough guide for when to expect each bar cake at the Costco bakery.
January: Chocolate Chip Cookie Bar Cake
March/April: Carrot Bar Cake
May: Caramel Tres Leches Bar Cake & Peaches and Cream Bar Cake
November: Crème Brûlée Bar Cake
All Year Long: Tuxedo Bar Cake (Our favorite Costco bakery item so we like to think we influenced this one)
