I don’t need to tell you that there are a lot of food-movie collabs going on right now. A mere glance at Sporked, or any food website, will confirm that for you. We’re in peak blockbuster collab season right now, and just today, we’ve brought you two new ones, in the form of Wendy’s partnership with the new Minions movie and Toy Story 5 teaming up with Yogurtland.

But spare a thought for Disney’s new live-action Moana, which comes out next month, and which, up until now, has not seen a lot by way of collaboration with food brands and chains. Well, that’s now changing thanks to Subway, which is setting sail with its new Moana Meal Deal. Hoist that sail, we’re taking to the high seas.
Subway Moana Movie Meal Deal
Subway announced its new meal deal yesterday in a press release. Now, if we’re being totally honest, this is not necessarily a deal in the sense that you’re saving money on food (unlike its new value menu, which actually does offer those). It’s more for people who are interested in movie-related merch and associated discounts, and don’t mind spending a little extra to get it…so if that doesn’t include you, you might want to give this one a miss.
But if it does include you, here are the details! Starting June 11, along with any purchase of a six-inch, footlong, wrap or salad meal, if you spend $1 more, you can get one of five collectible Moana cups adorned with the characters Moana, Maui, Mini-Maui, Pua, or Heihei. This is fun enough for collectors and fans of the film, but the real win here is that you also get access to a $15 Fandango promo code, which you can then put against a Moana movie ticket when it’s released on July 10. If you ask me, that’s the real win here. Summer’s coming, and the kids will need occupying.
Any T’s & C’s?
Oh, you bet there are T’s and C’s! The first thing to mention is that this ticket offer can be doubled up: If you buy two Moana Movie Meal Deals, you get a $30 off code, which you can spend on two movie tickets. Crucially, though, those codes can only be used in the Fandango app or on its website, not directly at any box offices. The code you get also isn’t transferable or valid with any other offers.
The full list of terms and conditions (there are a fair few of ‘em) can be found at the press release above, and you have until August 19 to avail of this offer.
