Just in time for Prime Day where the newly launched product will be 20% off, ARMRA’s Colostrum Sodas are officially here. Similarly to their traditional powder packets of colostrum, the ARMRA sodas, offer immunity, gut, skin, hair, and vitality benefits. Each can is rich with 400+ bioactive ingredients and made from bovine colostrum grown exclusively in the United States. All of the ARMRA products are developed using scientific research as a foundation to improve its consumers’ every day quality of life. Each can is free from soy, caffeine, sugar, and fat. They are sweetened with Stevia though, so they’re still plenty sweet. Going into this taste test, the thing that is striking me most about the drinks are their unique and innovative flavors. They’re so striking that I would want to try them regardless of the health benefits―and you know, the colostrum of it all.

Huckleberry

I wish I hadn’t started out with this flavor because it ended up being the only flavor that I didn’t really like. I’ve become kind of accustomed to the flavor of Stevia, so that didn’t bother me in any of the sodas. But artificial berry flavor will always irk me. I will never be able to get past the medicinal quality it has to it, but I still understand why someone else might like this flavor. It wasn’t bad at all―just not my cup of tea. What really shocked me though was that there was no funky aftertaste at all. I’m not a colostrum aficionado, so I wasn’t really sure what to expect with the overall impact it would have on flavor. To my delightful surprise, it just tasted like a boutique sugar-free soda.

Spicy Lime

The spicy lime flavor was very pleasant. It tasted like everything it advertised: spicy and limey. Again there was no aftertaste from the colostrum, but there was a bit of a strange artificial quality to the lime used in the drink. But could I still smash an entire can on a sunny afternoon? Absolutely. The spiciness really adds something to it that isn’t at all overwhelming of the lime flavor, but genuinely sings on the back of your tongue and in your throat as if it was some kind of spicy margarita.

Pear Ginger

At this point in the taste test, I was significantly impressed by ARMRA’s ability to nail the flavor that they were going for. Usually with something that has ginger flavor in it, that becomes the only thing that you can taste. Surprisingly, though, the pear flavor was just as present. I was really also beginning to appreciate the fact that the texture of these sodas mirrors any other drink on the market. There’s no thickness, strange of viscosity, or even sliminess that was detectable to me at all. This soda basically just tastes like a sugar-free ginger beer with pear―and I loved it!

Pomelo Basil

I was a bit intimidated going into this flavor due to the slightly artificial notes I was getting from the lime and huckleberry flavors―but oh boy, was I wrong. As soon as I open the can, I could even smell that it tasted like freshly torn basil. It’s lovely and not too sweet at all. The basil gives it a slightly savory quality that balanced out the sweetness and goes really well with the citrusy pomelo flavor.

Final Verdict

Overall, I honestly don’t know if I could be more impressed with these products. Things that claim to have this many health benefits usually come at critical costs: texture and flavor. To me, these were indiscernible from any other sugar-free soda on the market. If anything, the flavors were more unique and executed very well.
