The $5 Faves Menu at Popeyes has long been the company’s best deal available. You can get a classic Chicken Sandwich, 3-Piece Tenders, 3-Piece Signature Popeyes Chicken, or two regular sides off of the menu for just $5 each. For the high-quality chicken that Popeyes is serving up, we were already grateful that there were options bursting with flavor for such a low price. But, as usual, Popeyes has outdone themselves again. Because, I’ll admit, for as good of a deal as the Popeyes $5 Faves Menu is, you’re pretty limited on options. Well, apparently Popeyes saw that weakness in the menu portfolio, too and decided to take action.

From now until the end of summer, a new menu item will be joining the $5 Faves Menu giving it some much needed diversity. While you might go to Popeyes only expecting chicken, the new addition pivots to the ocean. Their 8-Piece Butterfly Shrimp joins the $5 Faves Menu lineup this summer offering up the same big and bold Popeyes flavor for a low price. They even have a surprise item returning to the menu for the summer season to look forward to, as well.

Let’s Talk Flavor

Not only is the 8-piece Butterfly Shrimp being added to the $5 Faves Menu at Popeyes, but it is available in four distinct flavors. For those craving something spicy, you could take the Buffalo or even the ghost pepper route. But for those of us who might want something a bit more mild, they have garlic parmesan and lemon pepper flavors available as well. Of course, you can have them served straight up with just the Louisiana spices, too. Pair them with another $5 fave to get two of your ideal sides for a more well rounded meal that’s still affordable.

A Cheesy Comeback

Separate to the addition of the shrimp to the $5 Faves Menu is the comeback of the Popeyes Cheese Bites for a limited time run. Add these on your order for only $3.99 for a crispy, gooey snack. They’re made from cheese curds, battered in a crispy, golden crust, and then deep fried. And, honestly, they look absolutely irresistible. Cheesy isn’t really something that Popeyes is known for doing. But for a limited time this summer, you can fulfill all of your well-seasoned cheesy fantasies.
