Some mornings are just better with donuts. But with so many varieties, how are you supposed to choose? Well, Krispy Kreme is making that decision even more difficult with 3 new donut flavors. These aren’t just your typical donut flavors either. These are dessert inspired flavors that will have you feeling like you’re jetting around Latin America.

That’s right. All three of the new donuts are inspired by popular Latin American desserts. But in an easy and tasty donut. And no passport required. So, just what desserts did they decide to tap into? They went with some classic flavors: tres leches, guava, and dulce.
Tres Leches-Inspired Doughnut
This is an unglazed shell doughnut filled with tres leches Kreme, topped with sweet creme flavored buttercream, cake doughnut crumbs, and cinnamon. Tres leches is a staple of so many Latin American countries that it just makes sense for this to be one of the donut flavors. A mix of creamy milky flavors and rich cake, it’s guaranteed to be a winner.
Guava Cheesecake Doughnut
This is also an unglazed shell doughnut filled with cheesecake Kreme and guava filling, dipped in guava icing, and topped with an icing drizzle and crunch. Guava is a wildly popular tropical flavor across Mexico, the Caribbean, and South America. And guava and cream cheese is a common pairing. The sweetness of the berry combined with the tang from the cream cheese makes for a delicious bite. So a guava cheesecake donut makes total sense.
Choco Dulce Cookie Crunch Doughnut
It’s an unglazed shell doughnut filled with chocolate dulce cookie Kreme, dipped in chocolate icing and chocolate cookie crumbles, then topped with dulce de leche buttercream. This is inspired by rich chocotorta. This dessert is chocolate biscuits/cookies that have been soaked in milk or coffee and then layered with dulce de leche and cream cheese mix. This great no-bake dessert is the perfect thing to bring to a donut.
Where To Get The New Donuts
I don’t know which one I’m more excited to try. And I’m for sure dreading the sugar rush eating these three will bring. But oh, I am so ready. These flavors are ones I already love, so being able to eat them in a fun, new way is very exciting. The donuts release July 28th and are available for only a limited time. Forget the passport and stop by your local Krispy Kreme and pick up a flight (or a dozen―I won’t judge) and bring a little of Latin America home with you.
