When Jamba dropped “Juice” from its name back in 2019, it sent a pretty clear signal to the world: It was time to be so much more than that. In the seven years since, it’s definitely felt like it. Jamba’s bowls, smoothies (and smoothie deals), and blended coffees have been elevated in importance and become arguably way more prominent than the juices that it made its name on (although let’s be real, they were around waaaaay before it stopped branding itself as a juice chain) – and now, it’s making a big menu move.

That’s right: It’s sandwich time. Let’s discuss.
Jamba’s Handcrafted Sandwiches
Yesterday, Jamba announced that it would be introducing a new line of Handcrafted Sandwiches in participating restaurants across California, Nevada, Colorado, and Arizona. These freshly made sandwiches (which come in savory, sweet, and mixed options) are, as the chain says in its press release, “a natural extension of the Jamba experience, giving guests another delicious choice for lunch and on the go.”
This isn’t the first time Jamba has had sandwiches: It first introduced them back in 2009, along with wraps and flatbreads, broadening its offer and, arguably, positioning itself more stridently as a competitor for the likes of Panera (which updated its own menu a couple of months ago). With these handcrafted options, though, it wants to offer more choice, more freshness, more quality – more everything, really.
So, What Flavors Are There?
Jamba hasn’t just added one or two new sandwiches here: There are seven Handcrafted Sandwiches to choose from, and they are…
- Rotisserie Chicken Avo Ranch: Rotisserie chicken, white cheddar, provolone, and bacon are topped with spinach, avocado, and ranch, and popped in a ciabatta. A protein-rich option, tying into the chain’s recent push for the nutrient in its smoothies.
- Rotisserie Chicken Pesto: Rotisserie chicken, white cheddar, provolone, and roasted tomato, with spinach and pesto mayo, again on ciabatta.
- J.B.S.T.: BLT? More like JBST, am I riiiight? This one’s got Bacon, Spinach, and roasted Tomato (the J stands for Jamba), with mayo on sliced sourdough.
- Market Pesto: A veggie option here: White cheddar, provolone, roasted tomato, and pesto mayo on ciabatta.
- Cheese Melt: White cheddar and provolone on sliced sourdough. Simple, effective.
- Blueberry Dipper Cheese Melt: Sweet-savory, anyone? White cheddar and provolone on sliced sourdough, served with a blueberry mango dip.
- PB Nutella® Crunch: If you want dessert for lunch, here’s your chance. Peanut butter, Nutella, banana and granola are tucked into sliced sourdough.
Jamba’s new Handcrafted Sandwiches will be available at 95 locations across the above four states until October 14. If they’re a success, the rest of its restaurants around the country might – just might – get a look-in someday.
