The beauty of the Sporked office being right next to Aldi at one point in time is that we have a wealth of Aldi taste tests on the site. Which means it’s incredibly easy to pick out the ten best things to include in an Aldi haul. Life is short so you only want to indulge in the best. Think of what you’d miss out on if you were filling up on foods that sucked! Here are the ten best items to get at Aldi next time you’re in.

Park Street Deli Olive Tapenade Hummus
Sadly Sporked’s favorite Aldi dip isn’t available anymore so we’re headed to the number two slot. This tangy, salty, creamy dip blends hummus and a flavorful tapenade for a dip you’ll get addicted to.
Specially Selected Premium Marinara Sauce
Aldi sells a Rao’s marinara sauce dupe for under $4! That’s a deal that’s hard to beat. This should absolutely be in your cart at Aldi every time you make a visit.
Appleton Farms Dry Cured Ham Prosciutto
Speaking of deals, our favorite affordable prosciutto also happens to be from Aldi. Aldi’s done it again! Just because we’re shopping at a budget grocery store doesn’t mean we have to sacrifice flavor. Spruce up those sandwiches and charcuterie boards!
Clancy’s Sour Cream & Onion Potato Chips
No trip to Aldi would be complete without a bag of Clancy’s in your cart. These topped our ranking of all the Clancy’s chips available at Aldi. They’re crunchy, salty, and have a distinct creaminess to them. Just what you need for a night in.
Millville Honey Wheat Puffs
What lineup of food haven’t we tried from Aldi? Of course Sporked has an Aldi cereal taste test! We found Honey Wheat Puffs (aka Aldi’s take on Honey Smacks) to be sweet without being too sweet, crispy without being too crunchy, and highly satisfying in milk.
Emporium Selection Cheddar Parmesan Cheese
Aldi has a secret cheaper dupe to Trader Joe’s Unexpected Cheddar tucked in their shelves. The savory, tangy cheddar flavors are balanced out by those funky-sweet parmesan notes. Put it out on a cheese board or use it to make a banging sandwich.
Giretto Delle Venezie Pinot Grigio White Wine
Oh what’s that? You’re wondering what the best cheap wine from Aldi, the grocery store that’s whole schtick is cheap, is? We got that covered, too! Unfortunately our favorite cheap wine isn’t available anymore which is bad news for fans of red wine like me, especially considering second place is a white wine. And if a pinot doesn’t suit your fancy, we ranked every Aldi wine to help you choose the perfect vino.
Kirkwood Chicken Fries
Good chicken fries are getting harder to find. Luckily for us, Aldi has one of the best. We found them to be extremely savory with the perfect amount of black pepper for a bit of bite. In fact, we bet that you’ll be happy with them just as they are. No dipping sauce needed!
Bremer Lasagna with Meat Sauce
Aldi sells a few big hearty meals that you can keep in the freezer until you need them. This frozen lasagna from Aldi is decadent, yet greasy and sloppy but really, just incredibly satisfying. The noodles are thick. The cheese is stretchy and creamy. It’ll fill you up for days.
Elevation Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Meal Bars
I just want to clarify one thing here. I do not advocate for these to be a full meal, regardless of what the name says. I’m just saying that protein bars are expensive so buying them from Aldi, with our seal of approval, is a smart way to save some money.
