When you think of Waffle House, there are probably plenty of foods that come to mind—but odds are tacos aren’t one of them. But that could change in the very near future.

Waffle House is testing two new additions to its menu and they’re kind of out of left field. One of them is a breakfast item, but it’s not exactly a diner staple—it’s more of a Taco Bell classic. We’re not letting that stop us from hoping these surprising products become permanent additions.

You Can Now Have Tacos Any Time Of Day (With A Catch)

Yep, you read that right: Tacos have come to Waffle House. Well, they’ve come to select Waffle House locations across the Atlanta area, that is.

Right now, a select group of Waffle House locations are testing out tacos on the menu. There are two variations you can try if your go-to restaurant has these new additions: Breakfast Tacos or Lunch Dinner Tacos.

As their names suggest, these tacos are meant to be enjoyed all day long. The Breakfast Tacos come in four different morning-ready variations: Bacon, Egg, & Cheese; Sausage, Egg, & Cheese; Chicken Sausage, Egg, & Cheese; and Ham, Egg, & Cheese. Alternatively, you can try any one of three different Lunch Dinner Tacos: Chicken Melt Tacos; Cheesesteak Melt Tacos; and Patty Melt Tacos.

Both the Breakfast Tacos and Lunch Dinner Tacos are made with slices of American cheese and flour tortillas. The Lunch Dinner option does include one extra topping, too: grilled onions. And yes, you can pair your tacos with Waffle House’s staple hash browns for a classic, crispy, and slightly unusual side.

Sure, you might not get any freshly-made salsa to pair with these tacos. But if you’re looking for a Waffle House spin on Mexican food, with a touch of staple diner flavors and ingredients, these just might be your new go-to order.

Where to Head to Try Waffle House’s New Tacos

There’s just one catch to Waffle’s House’s brand-new tacos: right now, they aren’t available at every location. Only 45 Waffle House locations in the Atlanta area are currently testing Breakfast Tacos and Lunch Dinner Tacos, so you’ll need to stop by or order from one of those locations.

Pro tip: check the menu before heading to any Atlanta-area Waffle House to double-check that they’re serving the new tacos. We spotted both the Breakfast and Lunch Dinner varieties on the menus of all of the below locations—but since these tacos are only sticking around for a limited time right now, they might disappear.
