Dole’s on a roll! Sorry, I had to. It is, though – and more specifically, Dole Whip is on the move. Changing. Morphing in front of our very eyes. Being stretched into things we never thought imaginable.

By this, I mean that the world now has Dole Whip in a can – I was writing yesterday about new Dole Whipt, and the two flavors that have just hit Stop and Shop shelves – and it’s also about to get Dole Whip Instant Pudding. Okay, maybe it’s not totally unimaginable that either of these things exists (some would argue they’re very logical…could never be me), but if you ever wanted to whip it up yourself instead of spoon it out of a cup kept in your freezer, now’s your chance. Here’s what we know.

Dole Whip Instant Pudding Mix

We learned yesterday that Dole Whip Instant Pudding Mix is on its way to stores very soon. The news came courtesy of @candyhunting, and I also spied some of these new products on DoorDash; while they’re not available just yet, the combo of listings and box art means they’re all but imminent.

As far as we can tell, Dole Whip Instant Pudding Mix is going to work in the same way that other pudding mixes do. You mix it, you chill it, you serve it. There will be three flavors available – Pineapple, Berry, and Orange – and they’re all sugar-free and sweetened with sucralose. There will be four servings per pack.

A Mixed Verdict

It’s early days for Dole Whip Instant Pudding Mix, given that it’s not out yet and all, so we can’t say how it’ll taste. So far, though, people have responded to their impending presence with a mixture of excitement and scepticism. In the blue corner (excitement), some folks are happy that they might finally be able to get their hands on a Dole Whip product for the first time, given that they can be released a little sporadically, and in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it kinda way. The flavors also seem to be a winner – and it is nice to see an instant pudding that isn’t chocolate or vanilla.

However, in the red corner (scepticism), some have questioned whether these will taste any good, given that they never really liked frozen Dole Whip in the first place. Others have said that the sucralose is an issue for them, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if it put a few more people off. Whatever side you sit on, expect to see them soon.
