Fall has barely clocked in and Denny’s is already serving pumpkin pancakes, caramel apple lemonade, and a mushroom-covered steak. So, September is going to be busy.

Denny’s new Fall Fest Menu arrived nationwide on September 1st, bringing back a popular pumpkin breakfast and adding several new dishes and drinks for the season. There’s plenty of sweet stuff, but the menu also gives savory food some serious attention. And there’s a bonus for regular Denny’s fans. The chain is also celebrating its rewards members with seven days of Diner Days deals, running through September 7th.
The Pumpkin Pecan Pancake Slam Is Back
Pumpkin pancakes are back at Denny’s and they brought pecans with them. The returning Pumpkin Pecan Pancake Slam comes with two buttermilk pancakes made with pumpkin pie filling. They’re topped with glazed pecans and pecan pie sauce, so the stack has plenty of sweet, nutty flavor going on.
The pancakes also come with two eggs, hash browns, and a choice of bacon or pork sausage.
The Mushroom Swiss Melt Is New
This new sandwich starts with a 100% beef patty and piles on sautéed mushrooms, caramelized onions, Swiss cheese, and pickles. A smoky glaze adds another layer of flavor.
Denny’s serves the burger on grilled garlic-sourdough instead of a standard bun, with wavy-cut fries on the side.
A Mushroom-Loaded Steak Is Joining The Menu
The Mushroom & Onion Medley Sirloin Steak features an 8-ounce seasoned USDA sirloin topped with sautéed mushrooms and caramelized onions. Two sides and dinner bread come with it.
The mushrooms and onions are doing a lot of heavy lifting here, but that’s hardly a complaint. They’re the sort of toppings that can make a steak feel like it has something extra going on without covering it in a mountain of sauce.
Caramel Apple Is Coming For Pumpkin Spice
So, instead of putting pumpkin spice into absolutely everything, Denny’s has given caramel apple its own little corner of the fall menu.
First up is the Caramel Apple Cold Brew. It combines cold brew coffee with caramel apple syrup, then gets whipped cream and salted caramel sauce on top.
The Caramel Apple Milk Shake goes in an even more indulgent direction. Vanilla ice cream gets blended with caramel apple syrup before whipped cream and salted caramel sauce finish the drink.
Then comes the wild card: Caramel Apple Lemonade. Denny’s combines Minute Maid lemonade with caramel apple syrup and adds a salted caramel drizzle.
Diner Days Adds Seven Days Of Deals
The new menu isn’t the only reason Denny’s regulars may want to check the chain this week.
Diner Days runs from Sept. 1st through Sept. 7th, with a different rewards offer available each day.
The celebration started with triple BoothBucks on Sept. 1st. Sept. 2nd brought 20% off, with a $10 maximum discount and an $8 minimum purchase.
On Sept. 3rd, rewards members can get a free frappe with a $10 minimum purchase.
Then comes Friday’s dessert deal. On Sept. 4th, members can get a buy-one-get-one-free dessert offer.
Saturday, Sept. 5th, brings 50% off a Diner Dipper with a $25 minimum purchase. Sunday, Sept. 6th, offers 15% off dinner and late-night orders, up to $10 off, with an $8 minimum purchase.
The final deal lands Monday, Sept. 7th, with $10 off a $30 purchase.
Denny’s Is Going Big On Fall This Year
Denny’s fall menu has something for just about everyone. And with Diner Days running through Sept. 7th, September is looking particularly good for Denny’s fans. A stack of pumpkin pancakes, a caramel apple drink, or a mushroom-covered steak sounds like a pretty good way to welcome fall.
