Do you remember when, a few months ago, Cinnabon announced that it would be releasing bacon jerky with Wicked Cutz? Don’t you remember that? I don’t blame you. The food world moves quickly, and as we say in the UK, today’s news is tomorrow’s fish and chip paper. But I remember it. I remember it not only because it was such a strange move for Cinnabon to make, but also because, in the back of my mind, I had the feeling that this cinnamon-y, sugary bacon product might actually be…quite good.

Sadly, though, at the time, we were simply discussing the fact that it had been announced, not released – and the story ended there. Until today. Because now, Cinnabon and Wicked Cutz’ Cinnabon Bacon Jerky is out.

It’s Alive!

Wicked Cutz Cinnabon Bacon Jerky has now, as @candyhunting confirmed a few days ago, hit stores. The food Instagrammer found it at Woodman’s, but it’ll be available in other retailers too – and you can also get it on TikTok Shop, Etsy, and various other specialty online stores.

As for how it tastes…well, there are a few responses so far, some slightly more objective than others. @candyhunting stated on their own post that they “can attest that the bacon jerky is quite tasty.” Other people over on TikTok have also been reviewing and praising the Wicked Cutz x Cinnabon collab, but it should also be said that those people are selling it via TikTok Shop and therefore getting a commission, so…perhaps less reliable there. That said, the jerky definitely looks good: It’s thick, meaty, well-cooked, and covered liberally in Cinnabon cinnamon sugar. If you like sweetness, saltiness, and spice, you’ll probably enjoy it.

Dissenting Voices

Unfortunately, not everyone’s a fan – which will probably surprise no one. However, the people who have spoken out against Wicked Cutz Cinnabon Bacon Jerky haven’t actually tried it, it seems; it’s more that they’re appalled by the very idea of it in the first place. “Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should,” said one comment on @candyhunting’s post, with another person simply stating, “oh dear.”

Hey, all I’ll say is, don’t knock it ‘til you’ve tried it. My gut says that this would be very good crumbled up and scattered into a breakfast sandwich – and it also says that you’d probably need a glass of water afterward. But that’s not enough to put me off. I patiently await the chance to try it.
