This Is Everything New Coming To Taco Bell

Following the launch of Taco Bell 2016 throwbacks menu and the launch of their Gordita Crunch Duos, we expected Taco Bell to slow down a bit with the new menu item rollout. But that was a silly expectation on our part. We should know by this point, that Taco Bell will always be looking to the next thing to add to their menu.

Currently, Taco Bell is doing just that. There are over 10 new menu items currently being tested in the consumer market, and we’re waiting in eager anticipation to see if they will be picked up and officially added to menus nationwide. Plus, one of these new items integrates innovation with in the Tex-Mex fast food space like we’ve not seen from Taco Bell since perhaps the release of the Crunchwrap Supreme. These are the items to be on the lookout for in the meantime, since we’re still unsure which ones will officially be available.

Standard Menu Additions

• Daredevil Double Dipping Burritos — This is by far the most interesting and innovative product we’ve seen out of Taco Bell. Two miniature burritos (the perfect size for dipping) are provided in one order of these, and they’re filled with Taco Bell’s slow-roasted chicken, Avocado Ranch sauce, as well as their three-cheese blend. The pair comes with a dish of ghost pepper sauce and spicy cheese crisps divided by a median so you can double dip at your leisure. For only $5.99, we’re begging for this one to be released across the country.

• Grilled Steak Three Cheese Taco — The three cheese status of certain menu items seems to be a bit of a theme here, and it will be available in this taco should it get picked up and integrated into the full-time menu. The three-cheese blend is melted straight onto the tortilla, and each taco is filled with grilled steak, pico de gallo, potato crisps, and their Creamy Jalapeño sauce. It’s currently being sold at $4.49.
• Steak & Potato Loaded Quesadilla — We always love to see a different quesadilla variation pop up on the Taco Bell menu, and this quesadilla even comes with the option to get the spicy version with added jalapeños. Regardless, the base model of this quesadilla includes steak, crispy potato bites, cheddar cheese, and Taco Bell’s nacho cheese. They’re listed as $6.99.
• Cheesy Poblano Double Beef Burrito — Taco Bell hasn’t had poblano peppers available on the menu since last year, but now they may return through this burrito. Aside from the Cheesy Poblano Sauce, this burrito will be filled with a double portion of beef, seasoned rice, Fiesta Strips, recuced-fat sour cream, and their three-cheese blend. It’s priced at $3.

A Potential Luxe Value Menu Refresh

All of the remaining items being tested out right now aren’t actually for consideration on the main menu, but as a refresh to the newly returned Luxe Value Menu. They all come in at under $3.

• Chicken Crunchadilla — This item is essentially if you added a crunchy taco shell to a quesadilla, much like the Crunchwrap. Otherwise, the grilled quesadilla is filled with their three-cheese blend, chicken, Creamy Jalapeño Sauce, and reduced-fat sour cream.
• Mini Fiesta Bowl — This mini Fiesta Bowl is a small portion that basically resembles a burrito bowl from Chipotle, but with Taco Bell’s iconic flavors. It has rice, seasoned beef, nacho cheese, a three-cheese blend, Spicy Ranch Sauce, and Fiesta Strips.
• Crunchwrap Dipper — If you’re always hoping for your Crunchwraps to be saucier, then these mini, dippable versions are going to be your dream come true. The toasted tortilla is filled with seasoned beef, shredded cheddar, Spicy Ranch Sauce, and fiesta strips. It’s served with a side of hot nacho cheese for you to dip at your pleasure.

• Mini Tostada Bowl — This tostada bowl is served in a crunchy tortilla bowl and is filled with rice, Fiesta Potatoes, seasoned beef, the three-cheese blend, nacho cheese, Fiesta Strips, reduced-fat sour cream, and pico de gallo.
• Mini Chicken Tostada Bowl — The Chicken Tostada Bowl is essentially the same as the one previously listed, but it has a bit of a fresher take instead. It’s filled with rice, chicken, lettuce, Avocado Ranch Sauce, the three-cheese blend, and pico de gallo.
• Crispy Chicken Roll Up — If a Cheesy Roll Up is a can’t skip item in your Taco Bell order, then this might be your new favorite. Basically this item just adds their new crispy chicken to the simply perfect Cheesy Roll Up. We can’t wait.
• Crispy Chicken Soft Taco — It’s nice to see that the new crispy chicken is getting enough attention that they’re expanding the items through which it’s available. If you’re in the test market, you can get it in their standard soft tacos now too. As you could expect, it will have shredded cheddar, tomatoes, lettuce, and their Avocado Ranch to top it off.
