Krispy Kreme’s New Limited-Time Flavor Lets You Skip The Coffee Order

Krispy Kreme’s fall output this year is brisk, to say the least – and to be honest, I thought it was done. It’s been rolling out autumnal baked goodies for much of the last few months, with its fall menu dropping in early August, followed by its apple cider glazed doughnut, the return of its blueberry glazed doughnut, and its new Churro Doughnut Dots. Surely, at this point, it’s earned the right to sit back and put its feet up for at least a week or two before we get to Halloween or Christmas? Right? …Right?

Apparently not – there’s no stopping it. Krispy Kreme has just announced that it’s got a new limited-time flavor coming to its stores for the next few days, and coffee lovers will be very pleased. 

Krispy Kreme Original Glazed Coffee Flavored Doughnut

Yesterday, Krispy Kreme announced the debut of its new Original Glazed Coffee Flavored Doughnut, which will be in its stores for four days only: Saturday, September 26, to Tuesday, September 29. This doughnut is a pretty simple combo, but will (it hopes) be no less effective for it: An Original Glazed doughnut, imbued with a smooth coffee flavor. The idea, of course, is that it takes the classic pairing of coffee and doughnuts and brings them together in one package. No more juggling items in each hand and no risk of spillage. You might slightly miss the caffeine, though. 

Krispy Kreme’s Original Glazed Coffee Flavored Doughnut is arriving in time for National Coffee Day (which is on September 29, in case you were wondering), and the restaurant is celebrating that fabled day in a few other ways, too. If you go to one of its shops on the day itself, you can get a free small or medium hot or iced coffee with any purchase – it’s only one per guest, but free coffee is free coffee. Plus, for the entire period that its Original Glazed Coffee Flavored Doughnut is on sale, you can get a dozen of them for $5 when you buy any other dozen at regular price. Celebrate National Coffee Day With…Coffee!

Krispy Kreme isn’t the only chain marking National Coffee Day this year, although as far as we can see, it’s the only one celebrating with a new coffee-flavored doughnut. There are a bunch of National Coffee Day deals to avail of over the next few days, with Dunkin’, Caribou Coffee, Peet’s Coffee, Einstein Bros. Bagels, and DoorDash all getting involved. Skip the French press for a few days.
