Chipotle may have been plagued this year by customer frustrations over its prices, but we do have to give the chain credit where credit’s due: It’s been giving away more free food than a lot of other places. Yes, these free food drops often come in fairly limited windows or alongside other purchases, but extras for no cost are still welcome, and there have been a good couple of them in the last few months. Free chips, free burritos, free entrées, free double protein – it’s been busting out all of them since July.

And there’s more to come, starting today – yes, TODAY. Chipotle’s giving away free quesadillas, but they’ll be gone by the weekend.
Free Quesadillas For Everyone! (As Long As You Buy Something)
This week, Chipotle announced that it would be giving away free quesadillas from September 24 (which is, once again, TODAY) through September 25 (which is TOMORROW – okay, caps lock is now firmly off for the rest of this article). If you spend $20 or more on a digital purchase through the Chipotle app or website and use the code NQD2026, you can get a free quesadilla with your choice of three sides, and you can add an extra Cilantro Lime Sauce for an additional fee. Any add-ons will also cost extra, too.
You can only get one quesadilla per order, but that’s to be expected, to be honest. This offer is available in both US and Canadian restaurants, too – although make sure you’re ordering online and not in-store, as it’s not valid for walk-ins. It’s also not valid for third-party orders, so skip DoorDash on this one.
National Quesadilla Day
Now, why is it offering free quesadillas? For National Quesadilla Day, of course! September 25 is the day that quesadilla fans everywhere (or probably about a dozen quesadilla fans around the world, given that most people probably don’t know it exists) get out the fine china and blow up those celebratory balloons. Chipotle’s also not the only restaurant marking the special occasion this year. Moe’s Southwest Grill is running a buy one, get one free quesadilla offer on September 25 and 26 at participating stores. And then, a couple of days after National Quesadilla Day, we have National Coffee Day, so you can wash it all down with some caffeinated beverages. The march of National Food Days continues, inexorably, into the future, and we all bear witness.
