The topic of what Kirkland Signature products are worth buying over the name brand is actually an oddly difficult topic to navigate. That’s mainly because a lot of KS products are actually made by the same company as the name brand product. At the very least in that case, we know Costco’s going to beat them out in price. Anyway, here are the six Kirkland Signature products that we think are worth buying over the name brand.

Kirkland Signature Basil Pesto
To be fair I couldn’t really name a “name brand” in the pesto game. That’s probably because most store bought pesto just plain sucks. Not Costco’s. It’s the outlier. It’s rich, cheesy, earthy, and sebaceous. Everything in here is high quality. We go back to this, well, a lot, but it’s for a good reason. Costco’s basil pesto is just really worth your time.
Kirkland Signature Ice Cream Bars
A Häagen-Dazs dupe from Costco for a fraction of the price. Now that’s a sweet treat I can get behind. It’s devilishly simple to fall into a routine with these ice cream bars. You keep them in your freezer and sneak one before bed. The joys of life don’t get better than that! Daily snacking means we’re going to love the switch to these over the name brand just for yearly savings alone!
Kirkland Signature Italian Sparkling Mineral Water
Shopping at Costco becomes a lot easier when you follow an ethos of not supporting Nestle. This water may be a smidge lower in quality than Nestle owned brands but you’re getting the added benefit of supporting a company that actually cares. That does a lot of heavy lifting. Grab Costco’s Italian sparkling mineral water if you’re looking for a San Pellegrino replacement.
Kirkland Signature Canadian Whisky
Really, there aren’t many Kirkland Signature liquors that I wouldn’t grab over the name brand version. They just do a dang good job at replicating the flavor of “the good stuff” for a laughably cheaper price. It’s borderline insane how cheaper they can get with their prices. I’m a whiskey Coke kinda guy so let’s grab Costco’s Canadian whiskey for the future.
Kirkland Signature Milk Chocolate Covered Raisins
Does anyone actually have brand loyalty to Raisinets? If you do, I have bad news for you. Costco’s are better. These suckers are huge. The raisins are big and juicy and they pair so nicely with the surrounding chocolate. In fact, they’re one of our favorite snacks that Costco sells. Just cut out your own little Raisinets-sized box from cardboard and fill it with these for all your theater snacking needs.
Kirkland Signature Supreme Cauliflower Crust Pizza
The best cauliflower crust pizza you can find in grocery stores is in fact from Costco. So why would we waste our time looking for anything else while we’re there? We loved it for its insane flavor and quality ingredients. The savory sauce is something you’ll actually enjoy instead of just letting it pass you by as it heads on down to your stomach! A rarity for frozen pizzas these days.
