National Taco Day is coming up on Tuesday, October 6th, and this year’s celebration has plenty of tacos to go around. The food holiday now falls on the first Tuesday of October, so it gets the added bonus of landing on Taco Tuesday.

So, restaurants have been getting creative with free tacos, BOGO offers, cheap taco bundles, and even a deal that involves dressing like a taco. Yes, really.

El Pollo Loco Is Celebrating For Five Days

El Pollo Loco is giving taco fans more than one day to celebrate. Through October 6th, Rewards members can get three select chicken tacos for $5 at participating locations. The offer can be used for online, app, or in-store orders, making this one of the easier deals to grab.

Taco John’s Has A Free Taco For 14 Days

Taco John’s is taking a slightly different approach. Rewards members who make a purchase on October 6th will receive an offer for a free Beef Crispy Taco.

There is a little catch, but it is a pretty generous one: The free taco does not have to be redeemed on National Taco Day. The reward stays valid for 14 days, so it gives fans a reason to return for another taco run.

Taco Bell Is Bringing In The Duolingo Owl

Taco Bell and Duolingo have teamed up for one of the stranger National Taco Day collaborations of the year. The result is Duo Habanero Sauce, a limited-edition sauce inspired by Duolingo’s famous green owl.

In the U.S., customers who purchase a Doritos Locos Taco can get one packet of the new sauce for free on October 6th. Extra packets cost 20 cents each, while supplies last.

The sauce is also launching internationally at participating Taco Bell restaurants in Canada, Australia, China, India, Spain and the U.K. Taco Bell Rewards members in the U.S. can also get a free month of Super Duolingo during the promotion period.

7-Eleven Has BOGO Breakfast And Chicken Tacos

The Laredo Taco Company locations inside participating 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes stores are getting in on the celebration too.

On October 6th, customers can buy one Potato & Egg Taco and get another free. There is also a BOGO deal on Chicken Fajita Tacos.

There are also a couple of other deals worth knowing about. El Gran Tocino tacos and burritos are available for $5, while a $5 Taco Meal Deal gives customers another inexpensive option. Some of these offers continue beyond National Taco Day, so the taco celebration does not completely disappear on October 7th.

Baja Fresh Is Selling Three Tacos For $6

On October 6th, Baja Fresh participating locations will sell three Chicken Street Tacos for $6. The offer is available in stores only, does not require a rewards account, and is limited to one per person.

Honestly, this might be one of the easiest deals on the list. There is no app to download and no loyalty account to create. Just three tacos for six bucks.

Bubbakoo’s Burritos Has Three Tacos For $6

Bubbakoo’s Burritos is matching Baja Fresh’s three-for-$6 price on October 6th. Customers can choose beef, chicken or veggie tacos and pick between hard or soft shells. The deal is available as part of the chain’s National Taco Day celebration.

Chronic Tacos Is Celebrating All Week

Chronic Tacos decided one day was not enough and turned National Taco Day into National Taco Week.

Rewards members get a different offer in the Chronic Tacos app from October 5th through October 9th. The lineup starts with BOGO tacos on October 5, followed by a free taco on October 6th. October 7th brings a buy-two-get-two-free offer, October 8th takes $2 off a taco plate, and October 9th brings BOGO tacos back.

Chuy’s Wants Fans To Dress Like Tacos

This might be the most entertaining deal of the bunch. On October 6th, dine-in customers at Chuy’s can dress like a taco, post a photo with the required National Taco Day message and hashtag, and get a free entrée during that same visit.

Chuy’s is also offering a $1 add-on for a crispy or soft ground beef taco with an entrée, plus a $1 tequila or rum floater with a margarita. The specials are dine-in only.

Condado Tacos Is Taking 50% Off

Condado Tacos is going big on the discount rather than offering one particular taco for free. On October 6th, customers can get 50% off tacos all day. The offer applies to dine-in orders as well as orders placed through the Condado Tacos website and app.

Del Taco Has A Free Taco With A Purchase

Del Taco’s National Taco Day deal is part of its larger Tacoberfest celebration. On October 6th, Del Yeah! Rewards members can get a free taco with any purchase. The promotion is available through participating locations, with the offer delivered digitally to Rewards members.

Fuzzy’s Is Selling $2 Tacos

Fuzzy’s Taco Shop is dropping the price of its Original Tacos to $2 all day on October 6th at participating locations. There is also a fun bonus. Customers can receive a limited-edition scratch-off card with rewards that can include free chips and queso, taco discounts and other prizes. One lucky prize is free tacos for an entire year, which means two tacos per week for 52 weeks.

Jack In The Box Is Giving Away Two Tacos

Jack Pack members can get two free tacos with a $1 purchase through the Jack app on October 6th. That makes the actual taco cost zero bucks, although the $1 minimum purchase is required.

Moe’s Has $2 Tacos

Moe’s Southwest Grill is offering $2 tacos on October 6th, with a limit of three tacos per person. Premium proteins, extras and add-ons are excluded from the discounted price.

The offer is also available to Rewards members through October 11th, giving customers a few extra days to use the promotion.

Torchy’s Is Doing BOGO Tacos

Torchy’s Tacos Rewards members can get one free taco when they purchase another taco of equal or lesser value on October 6th.

The offer is for in-restaurant orders at participating locations and does not apply to third-party delivery orders. There are also some menu exclusions, so taco fans will want to check the terms before ordering.

Local Cantina Has $2.22 Tacos In Ohio

For taco fans in Ohio, Local Cantina is marking the holiday with $2.22 House Tacos and $4 Top Shelf Tacos at all of its Ohio locations. The specials are available on October 6th and are dine-in only.

Playa Taqueria Has A Buy-Three-Get-One Deal

Playa Taqueria is offering a buy-three-get-one-free taco deal for National Taco Day. Customers can use the promo code TACO DAY to get the fourth taco free.
