Did you know that Halloween is on a Saturday this year? No? Well, it is – and maybe we should be making the most of that fact. I’m not one to throw Halloween parties, really, but the draw of it landing on a weekend has me mentally planning out my guest list and deciding what savory Halloween snacks I’m going to serve. Will I actually follow through on these half-baked plans? Probably not. But it’s fun to dream.

If you’re like me, then, and you’d kind of prefer the entertaining to be done for you, then what Dave & Buster’s is offering this year might be up your street. The restaurant chain is fully leaning into Halloween, with a spooky menu, games, and not one, but two Halloween events. Let’s discuss.
Dave & Buster’s Halloween Extravaganza
Throughout October, Dave & Buster’s is going big with its food, drinks, and vibes. Let’s start with its Halloween menu.
Halloween Menu
The main draw here is Dave & Buster’s Halloween drinks, all of which have appropriately ghoulish names. Grab a Freak Show, made with Crown Royal Whisky, vanilla, citrus sour, and aromatic bitters, topped with a Freakshow Cabernet float and topped with dried orange or vampire fangs; or go for a Bad Medicine, made from Midori, pineapple passion fruit, and citrus sour, with a cherry jello shot syringe.
Or, you could grab The Possession, made with Absolut vodka, cherry, Sprite, and citrus sour, with luster dust, a sugar rim, a glowing ice cube, and freeze-dried grape ice cream – or how about a Cauldron Cream Soda? This alcohol-free option is made with Fanta Orange and vanilla, served in a marshmallow whip-lined glass. It’s all very over-the-top, and you know what? I love it.
Food-wise, Dave & Buster’s has a few options, too. Summon the Fire Sauce is a seasoning blend combining buffalo spice and zesty chili lime, perfect for wings or cheese sticks; Love at First Bite is a dessert that layers chocolate cake and peanut butter mousse made with Reese’s peanut butter cups, with more mini peanut butter cups, chocolate, and caramel drizzle on top; and its Funneral Cake Fries take Dave & Buster’s classic funnel cake fries with caramel drizzle, powdered sugar, and festive sprinkles, with whipped cream, chocolate, and caramel on the side.
Games
If all that food wasn’t enough, there are also some Halloween-themed games to play. This year, Dave & Buster’s is bringing Escape Pod to life, a five-minute-long zombie escape room. The Human Crane, meanwhile, will have a bunch of Halloween-themed prizes for you, as the claw, to pick up.
The Big Day
Once Halloween arrives, Dave & Buster’s is pulling out its final, biggest stops, with two ticketed events. In the morning, families can attend its Boo Bash from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., which features a Pancake Banquet, Monster Mash playlist, costume contest, pumpkin decorating, and a scavenger hunt. Tickets start at $21 per person. If you want to tire your kids out and get them to burn off some of that excitement, now’s your chance.
If a more adult-oriented Halloween party is your thing, then you can head to its Moonlight Mixer. From 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., guests over 18 are invited to a Fright Bite Banquet with three hours of Unlimited Video Game Play, a Monster Mash playlist, and a costume contest. Get planning! Tickets start at $24.99 per person, and you can grab them for both events at https://daveandbustershalloween.com/. Listen: You can’t accuse the chain of being unambitious here.
