Nutella and waffles: Name a better breakfast combo. Wait, stop! That was a rhetorical statement! There are plenty of things that can go on top of waffles, and there are plenty of flour-based foods that you can pair with Nutella, but something about the joining of the two is just heaven. It’s the smoothness and crispiness coming together. The ridges. The salty-sweet vibe. The chocolate. The chocolate!

The only thing that doesn’t thrill us is the work. Yes, putting Nutella on frozen waffles isn’t hard, but what if…you didn’t have to? What if it was already done for you? Ferrero’s answered that call with its new Nutella Waffles. And honestly, I’m already in heaven.

Nutella Waffles

This week, @markie_devo has revealed that Ferrero is releasing its new Nutella Waffles next year. These stuffed waffles come with Nutella already inside, and all you have to do is put them in your toaster, wait, and then, as TV cook and current Great British Baking Show host Nigella Lawson once said, “apply to face.” These new waffles are due to drop in spring 2027, and it’s hard to imagine them not being fairly widely available.

The news of these new Nutella Waffles arrives at a moment when Ferrero is teasing several new food items for release in the coming months. Yesterday, we were discussing its new Kinder Bueno White frozen desserts, which are due to hit stores either at the end of 2026 or the start of 2027. Hear me out…a Nutella Waffle with a scoop of Kinder Bueno White frozen dessert on top…no, it’s too much (I say, as I mentally imagine myself making it, away from prying eyes).

Rejoice!

In @markie_devo’s comment section in the post announcing these new waffles, people are very excited – and that’s saying something. “Now I can’t stop thinking about them,” said one person. I can’t either, and I’m frankly very annoyed that there’s no indication of a UK release for these things. The only quibble I have about them is that Nutella waffles work so well because of the ridges on the outside: The Nutella melts, pools, and creates little pockets of joy for you to discover. Here, in the waffle’s sandwich form, you’re not going to get quite the same effect. But honestly, it’s a small complaint. These still sound excellent, and I have no doubt that they will taste excellent, too. Ferrero, you’ve done it again.
