Your Favorite Greek Yogurt Is Available Frozen, Too — If You Know Where To Find It

Chobani has kind of ruled the Greek yogurt landscape in the United States for sometime now. While there’s certainly plenty of other companies who are executing similar products throughout the country, Chobani has a leg up on them being one of the first companies to really go big with Greek yogurt in the States. No, they weren’t very first company, but in terms of offering a wide range of flavors in a similar capacity to what we had come to expect from big brands like Yoplait, Chobani was really leading us into a new era of yogurt without even realizing it.

And, since its rise to becoming a household name, they’ve also expanded their company across different dairy products as well. Not only is the variation in different kinds of yogurt they offer vast, but they now produce things like oat milk and coffee creamers, too. They have enough hits on an offer to start their own little café of Chobani products in New York City at least. And, while the New York City Chobani Café isn’t brand new, one product that they sell there is — and it’s taking the internet by storm.

A Major Yogurt Comeback

Now, I don’t think it’ll be any prize for you to learn that frozen yogurt is definitely having a resurgence right now. What we should know by now is that any and all trends are cyclical. What goes around must come around, and froyo is officially back. But this time, people are approaching it with a bit of a different concept. 

Instead of trying to make frozen yogurt into something that it isn’t (i.e. ice cream) they’re leaning into the flavor that people here in the States have now grown so accustomed to. Yogurt is an everyday item in a lot of people’s diet much moreso than when we first saw the froyo trend really pop up in the late 90s early 2000s. So, it’s only natural that the approach to froyo during this trend cycle would actually be more representative of every day flavors and toppings that we see paired with yogurt outside of the froyo setting. And, as you may have guessed by now, that’s exactly what Chobani is doing at their café. 

The Chobani Café Craze

The Chobani Café offers the Chobani Whole Milk Greek Yogurt frozen and served up in the exact style we grew up loving with the big swirls or rippled goodness. They’re currently offering ten different topping varieties, including Dark Chocolate & Pomegranate, Peanut Butter & Grape Jelly, Blueberry & Super Seeds, and Blood Orange & Pineapple. But, they are also more traditionally sweet options like Salted Caramel & Pecans and Cookies & Cream.

The Chobani Café location is in SoHo, but they occasionally have pop-up events in their Chobani Café food truck as well. So, there’s multiple ways to source these new treats, if you know where to look. That said, you’re guaranteed to be able find them if you run quick to the SoHo location.
