You’re looking for the perfect McDonald’s order and let me tell you, you’ve come to the right person. “What makes you qualified?” Back in 2012 I spent $40 on McDonald’s for two. Yeah, in 2012 prices. When a Big Mac would cost you like $2. I’ve been around the block once or twice. I’m finally ready to spill the industry secrets.

Start Off With a Large Fry

There’s no possible order at McDonald’s that doesn’t include fries of any kind. They’re just too damn good to pass up and honestly, nothing else you eat in the meal will taste the same if they’re not accompanied by a few salty sticks of potato goodness. As McDonald’s intended, the large fry is the most cost effective so it will be the size that we go with for our order.

A Double Cheeseburger

I don’t want to hear any bickering about the Big Mac in these comments. The ratio of that burger is all off. They’re mass producing larger than usual buns for the Big Mac and for that reason alone, it’s an abomination. It has no place at our table. The double cheeseburger is the ideal form of burger from McDonald’s. You get the right amount of meat-to-bun ratio (the one patty burger gets lost in all that bread).

A Side Of McNuggets

This one’s a choose your own adventure. We need to have some McNuggets with our meal. They come in convenient sizes so you can get a little four piece if you’re going to get full quickly or aim for the 20 piece if you’re feeling frisky. Plus, you can always save any leftovers for later (McNuggets are one of the better items to reheat).

A Chocolate Shake

Whatever McDonald’s is doing with their chocolate shake is working. A little too strongly. It’s addictive. I crave it at least three times a year and I’m powerless to its hold on me. I grew up an Oreo McFlurry kid but those really dropped off after they stopped actually mixing up the McFlurry before handing it off to you. Not the shake. It’s perfect every single time. It helps wash your salty meal down with a cool, refreshing sensation. It’s truly one of a kind.

That’s it. It really is that simple. Now, it may cost you a small fortune to get all this at once, but just try it sometime and tell me how good it is. This is the perfect order at McDonald’s and I’ll be routinely getting it until the day I or McDonald’s dies (we all know who’s going first).
