The best Halloween products you can buy at, well, any grocery store shouldn’t just be a long list of candies. After all, there are a lot of aspects to a successfully spooky and fun Halloween―decorating, baking, maybe hosting a festive little soiree. But shopping for the best treats can feel overwhelming. Here’s where we come in. These are the best Halloween goodies you can grab at Lidl this year.

Mother’s Halloween Trick-or-Treat Eerie Critters Cookies

Think old school animal crackers, but spooky-fied. They’re just fun: cat- and bat-shaped shortbread cookies with orange and vanilla frosting and sprinkles. And since they come in individual baggies, these are an easy grab for trick-or-treaters or just as a quick pick-me-up as you wind down with scary movies for the night.

Pumpkin Cake Pop

These are another affordable must if you’re having a Halloween party (or if you have the energy to individually wrap them for treats to hand out). Lidl really does a good job with its bakery and these fun, pumpkin spice-y orange cake pops are insanely kid-friendly. Just don’t be surprised if adults sort of fight over them as well. At less than a dollar each (on sale at the moment), these are an easy steal.

Two-Bite Chocolate and Vanilla Halloween Cupcakes

These are adorable and an easy win for a Halloween party treat. (Though, seriously, two bites? I could polish two separate cupcakes off in one pelican-style gulp). Considering they come from Lidl, where baked goods are top-tier, they are bound to be moist and reasonably sweet.

Two-Bite Halloween Mini Brownies

These won’t be available until October 21st, but they look like they’re worth the wait. Granted, it’s a bakery near-facsimile of the cupcakes above, but it has the advantage of being a fudgy brownie (no offense, tiny cupcakes). Seriously, Halloween party guests (big and small) will probably enjoy that purple and orange icing contrasted against the dark fudgy chocolate―I won’t say it’s more eerie-looking than a cupcake, just a bit more rich and mysterious.

Solevita Caramel Apple Cider

This one is another (affordable!) must-have if you’re having a Halloween party. Yes, there’s cider everywhere these days, but this is caramel apple cider and for just $3.99. We’re not looking for extra sugar (especially this time of year). It’s just, at Halloween it does seem more appropriate to have a bit of caramel layered into our favorite autumnal beverage. (And believe it or not, the first ingredient is still apple juice.)

She's unapologetically against macaroni salad and believes Sour Patch Kids are an acceptable substitute for cherry tomatoes in a salad.
