Toblerone fans, there’s a new reason to check the freezer section at Costco! A chocolate cake packed with pieces of the famous Swiss chocolate bar has been spotted at the warehouse and it looks like a pretty sweet deal for anyone who loves a good dessert.

The dessert is the Toblerone Chocolate Cake by Almondy. The cake recently caught shoppers’ attention in a post by food news account Markie Devo on social media. Costco’s same-day delivery website also lists the dessert, although availability can vary by location.
Toblerone Chocolate Cake Is Now At Costco
The Toblerone Chocolate Cake by Almondy has been spotted at Costco and it sounds like a dream for anyone who believes there’s no such thing as too much chocolate.
The frozen cake weighs 35.27 ounces, or about 2.2 pounds, and comes pre-sliced. It’s also gluten-free, so there’s another reason to give it a closer look.
The cake needs to be thawed before serving, and finding it in stock could be a challenge. Costco sells it for $15.99, which is pretty reasonable.
A Chocolate Lover’s Dream
Toblerone already has a lot going for it. The Swiss chocolate bar is known for its milk chocolate, honey, almonds, and crunchy nougat. Now, those familiar flavors are getting the cake treatment.
Made by Swedish dessert brand Almondy, the frozen cake starts with a crisp almond base. A layer of smooth chocolate cream sits on top, followed by milk chocolate and crunchy pieces of Toblerone.
The cake comes frozen, and preparing it is as simple as letting it thaw. The instructions call for about 40 to 50 minutes at room temperature for the whole cake. If only a slice or two is needed, those portions take around 20 minutes.
I think it’s a great option for birthdays, holiday dinners, and casual get-togethers. Almondy is known for its almond-based cakes, and the Toblerone version is part of the company’s gluten-free range.
Costco Shoppers Are Already Making Room In Their Freezers
The Toblerone Chocolate Cake has already caught the attention of Costco shoppers on Reddit and some are just as excited as the dessert sounds.
In a discussion on r/Costco, one shopper said in response to the news, ““Take my money.” And others were excited about the possibility of finding it in Costco.
Not everyone was ready to buy without knowing more, though. One shopper asked, “Okay can someone who has tried this chime in please? Are we talking pistachio cheesecake level of good?” Another Redditor eventually offered a first impression, replying, “Tried it today, never had the cheesecake but it was pretty good with a lot of texture.”
Worth $15.99?
Having tried the Daim Cake, I think the Toblerone version has some competition. The Daim cake already gives you that satisfying mix of chocolate and crunch, so the Toblerone cake needs to bring something special to the table.
I think the best thing about it is the honey-and-almond nougat from the chocolate bar. If those flavors come through clearly, the cake could offer a different experience from the caramel crunch of the Daim version. The almond base and chocolate cream sound promising, too, and would make it worth every cent.
