Arby’s sells a lot of stuff. It can be easy to forget this. The chain is, of course, best known for its sandwiches, and in the last few months, it hasn’t been shy about adding a bunch of new ones to its menu. Such is the emphasis on its combinations of meat and bread that, at times, it feels like the only thing it does – but it’s so much more than that. The chicken, meals, and sides on its menu can be just as successful in garnering fan praise as its sandwiches, and throughout its history, there have been many items that have come and gone, much to the chagrin of its customers.

Well, it’s time to shine a light on them. Here are the Arby’s items customers want to have another spin.
Loaded Potato Bites
Arby’s Loaded Potato Bites first dropped in 2007 as a limited-time special, before coming back the following year as a permanent fixture on its menu. They were an immediate hit, and the briefest glance at what they were tells me all I need to know as to why. These things were essentially little hash brown bites with cheese, bacon bits, and chives mixed in. They were salty. They were savory. They were crunchy. They were, by all accounts, superb.
Arby’s Loaded Potato Bites had a good run, but they were eventually discontinued for good around 2017; its regular Potato Bites stuck it out for a few years longer. Arby’s customers still mourn the loss, though. “THE best side item Arby’s has ever had,” said one person on Reddit.
Auntie Anne’s Pretzel Cheddar Nuggets
When Arby’s collaborated with Auntie Anne’s on its limited-time Pretzel Cheddar Nuggets in 2014, it probably didn’t predict that people would be talking about them over a decade later. Cut to 2026, though, and people still shout them out as a long-lost item they wish would make a comeback.
These were simple but effective: A combo of buttery pretzel dough and sea salt with a cheesy interior, they didn’t try to be anything they weren’t, and were all the better for it. Like all food collabs, they were destined to disappear quickly – but they were good while they lasted.
Diablo Sandwich
Okay, so it’s not just ex-sides that people miss at Arby’s; of course, its discontinued sandwiches get regular shout-outs. The Diablo Dare Sandwich is one such sandwich that people wish would make a grand return. Introduced in 2022, this sandwich came in a chipotle-flaked bun, with hot seasoning, Diablo BBQ sauce, and ghost pepper jack cheese. It was designed for heat.
And heat it gave. This thing was actually spicy, and while it didn’t blow people’s heads off, it managed to pack a decent amount of fire into every bite. Alas, super-spicy sandwiches usually come and go fairly quickly, so this was never going to stick around forever. A lot of folks wish it had, though.
