3 New Eggo Waffles Have Arrived and We Tried Them All

We love Eggo waffles (in fact, we recently tasted every single flavor that was on the market at the time), so we were obviously thrilled when three new varieties arrived at the grocery store. Let’s see how their Berry Blast Toast Minis, Liege-Style Vanilla Bean, and Chocolatey Chip Banana waffles stand up to the Sporked team’s palates.

Eggo Mini Berry Blast Toast

These are a little underwhelming. There’s not a ton of berry flavor and they were a little too crunchy for me out of the toaster. I definitely don’t prefer them to the other Eggo products. I think if they bumped up the flavor, these could be a winner. They also advertise on the box that they’re sweet enough to eat without syrup, but we respectfully disagree.

Eggo Grab & Go Liege-Style Vanilla Bean Waffles

These aren’t bad, but they aren’t nearly as good as the other flavors of Eggo Grab & Go Liege-Style Waffles (which we loved). The crunchy sugar crystals didn’t seem like they were quite as large and the flavor is a little bland. Whatever you do, don’t heat these up! We put them in the toaster oven and they ended up tasting like sweet scrambled eggs. In Eggo’s defense, these aren’t made to be toasted (grab and go means just thaw and eat). I just got experimental in the Sporked kitchen and it went awry.

Eggo Chocolatey Chip Banana Waffles

This was my favorite of the new Eggo offerings. They’re different than anything else Eggo currently has in its lineup. That being said, I think they could amp up both the banana flavor and throw more chocolatey chips into the mix. And yes, the banana flavor is a little bit artificial, but I kind of liked it. It feels fun and nostalgic.
