Alani Nu is back with their fan favorite spooky themed energy drink: Witch’s Brew. But this year, it’s not alone. Joining the caramel-apple-flavored Witch’s Brew is Alani Nu Pumpkin Cream. Yep, a pumpkin spiced energy drink.
Pumpkin Cream is currently only available in variety packs consisting of nine cans of Witch’s Brew and three cans of Pumpkin Cream, and it is only sold at Kroger and HyVee. From what I’ve seen on the internet, Pumpkin Cream has been very difficult to track down (and in some cases, Witch’s Brew, too) so that begs the question: Do these returning and new Alani Nu flavors live up to the hype? Are they worth seeking out? I’ve got my hands on both, so let’s find out!
- Alani Nu Witch’s Brew
-
Pros: The green apple flavor is very crisp and very natural. It almost makes me feel like I’m taking a bite of a green apple as I sip. If I was blindfolded, I’m not sure I would not have guessed it was a zero sugar drink. The caramel aftertaste is subtle, but very pleasant.
Cons: I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little bit disappointed that the caramel flavor isn’t a little bit stronger. I mean, it’s literally featured on the can’s artwork! And I am personally not a fan of green apple. I’d like to see this done as a red apple. But I’m willing to accept that as a “me” problem.

- Alani Nu Pumpkin Cream
-
Pros: My expectations were beneath the ground for this one. I am a huge fan of pumpkin pie and all pumpkin deserts, but I just did not think Alani could pull this one off. I could not have been more wrong. I am absolutely blown away by how well this works. Alani Nu Pumpkin Cream has a very nice, creamy pumpkin dessert flavor. It’s not quite pumpkin pie—but it’s similar. It’s got the spices. I didn’t think Alani could do it and they proved me wrong.
Cons: Why is this new Alani Nu flavor only available in a variety pack? And why do I have to get nine cans of Witch’s Brew just to get three cans of this?

Verdict:
If you’re going for a more classic fall-themed flavor and you’re a fan of green apple things, you’ll want to check out the Alani Nu Witch’s Brew. If you’re a pumpkin spice girly or just love anything pumpkin—or if you’re a flavor seeker looking to check out new flavors—I’d set your sights on Alani Nu Pumpkin Cream. You’ll need to be quick on both though as they are only available for a limited time!

I cracked this open expecting fall-in-a-can. What I got was if Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte and a Yankee Candle had a baby… and then that baby was left in a gym locker overnight. The “cream” tastes like whipped disappointment, and the pumpkin is more “squash that sat in the trunk of your car for two weeks” than cozy autumn vibes.
By sip three, I felt like I was being haunted by the ghost of a Bath & Body Works employee. By sip five, I was Googling: “Can too much artificial nutmeg cause hallucinations?”
If you want to experience Pumpkin Cream Alani without actually drinking it, just sniff a pumpkin pie air freshener while someone yells “PRE-WORKOUT” in your face. Same effect, fewer regrets.
Would not recommend unless you hate yourself and/or love chaos.
Witches brew was pretty good tho
Not liking Witch’s Brew all that much is nbd. Rating Pumpkin Cream 9/10 is crazy work. Consider me rage baited, I guess.
