An Actor From The Office Opened A Honey Baked Ham Store (It’s Giving Dwight, TBH)

The actor best known for playing Stanley Hudson on The Office is now serving sandwiches, spiral-cut ham, and holiday favorites instead of crossword puzzles and sarcastic one-liners. 

Stanley Hudson Is Officially In The Ham Business

Leslie David Baker has officially left Dunder Mifflin for deli counters. The actor recently teamed up with entrepreneur and brand strategist Tony Vennie to open a new Honey Baked Ham store in Sherman Oaks, California. Located at 14427 Ventura Boulevard, the shop quietly opened on June 22nd. The opportunity was personal for Baker since he grew up with the brand as part of his family’s holiday traditions.

In a statement shared by the company, Baker explained why the opportunity appealed to him. “People know me as Stanley, but I’ve always had an appreciation for good food and great communities,” Baker said. “HoneyBaked has an incredible legacy, and I’m proud to be part of its next chapter. Plus, this job comes with a lot more sandwiches and a lot less time in meetings.”

The new location serves everything fans expect from Honey Baked Ham, including its famous glazed spiral-cut hams, smoked turkey breasts, family meals, catering, and deli-style sandwiches that are available all year long. So yes, there’s plenty to eat even if Thanksgiving is months away.

The Office Fans Couldn’t Ignore The Connection

It didn’t take long for fans to connect Baker’s new business to his most famous role. Stanley Hudson wasn’t exactly known for loving meetings. But sure likes food. Whether he was counting down the minutes until lunch or declaring Pretzel Day “the best day of the year,” Stanley built a reputation as one of TV’s biggest food lovers. So naturally, fans couldn’t resist pointing out that opening a Honey Baked Ham store feels surprisingly fitting.

On Reddit, many joked that Baker had essentially turned every day into Pretzel Day, referencing one of Stanley’s most iconic moments from the series. 

Get Ready for the Grand Opening

Although the Sherman Oaks store is already welcoming customers, HoneyBaked is planning a larger official grand opening on July 11, 2026. HoneyBaked says the event will include giveaways, samples, and appearances from Baker, with probably a few familiar faces from The Office potentially stopping by as well.

For Baker, it’s the start of a brand-new chapter. For fans, it’s another reason to love Stanley Hudson. And for anyone suddenly craving a ham sandwich? Well… that part was probably unavoidable.
