As Sporked’s resident Oreo orator, it feels like I can’t go two weeks without a brand new Oreo cookie landing in my mailbox. Seriously, my sample pack of this new Oreo flavor arrived less than a week after my last new Oreo cookie review went live. Let’s get into what makes this brand new Golden Oreo flavor special; it’s time to try Apple Pie a la Mode…a la Oreo.
Pros: Pack it up, folks: We don’t need any more new Oreos. This cookie tastes more like apple pie than actual apple pies I’ve eaten. Let’s go ahead and replace the standard Golden Oreo cookies with this one. I want to see these cookies crushed into bits for an apple pie cookies and cream ice cream so I can to take a scoop of that ice cream, put it on top of some warm apple pie, and seal the honmoon achieve dessert perfection.
Cons: “Hey, this Oreo tastes like a delicious slice of apple pie with a scoop of ice cream on top. Find something bad to say about it.” Y’all, my only complaint is that these aren’t permanent. Blueberry Pie Oreos were good, don’t get me wrong, but these are the best pie-flavored Oreo cookies ever made.

What’s with all the pie-themed Oreos?
First, we have the wonderful Blueberry Pie Oreos (with graham cracker flavored cookie wafers, an innovation I expect to see in future Oreos). Then, we get what might as well be a Reese’s Peanut Butter Pie Oreo. Now, we’ve got Apple Pie a la Mode. They’re now dictating the style in which the pie that inspired the cookie is served! Don’t get me started on the inevitable return of Pumpkin Spice (aka, Pumpkin PIE) Oreos we’ll likely see in the next few months. Oreo might have gone mad with pie, y’all.
How long will I be able to stock up on these new Oreo cookies?
These new Oreos hit shelves wherever fine Oreo cookies are sold on August 11th, and they’ll only be around while supplies last. If I can make a recommendation to the rabid fanbase waiting to try the Reese’s/Oreo collaboration? Check these out while you’re camping out at Walmart.
Which long-lost ice cream-flavored Oreo should come back to stores?
