Leave it to Target to be the first store for miles to start stocking the fall products. Honestly, I’m surprised they waited this long to start filling their shelves with every pumpkin spice product imaginable. You think I’m just talking about food? Haha, good one. They even have pumpkin spice air fresheners. Suffice it to say, there’s a lot of pumpkin spice to go around, but this is a chance to talk about all fall foods. Pumpkin spice is (obviously) well represented on this list of the best fall foods we spotted at Target on a late-summer day, but there are some surprises, too. Now bring on the crisp weather, dammit!
- Pumpkin Spice Oreos
-
Why did this pumpkin spice product stand out from the rest of the fall foods we saw at Target? Because Oreo broke the mold with yellow packaging in a sea of orange pumpkin spice products. Okay, okay, I also happen to be an Oreo fiend, so personal bias played a role in this pick, but if there’s one fall product everyone keeps an eye out for when summer is in its waning days, it’s gotta be Pumpkin Spice Oreos, right? People stock up on these suckers so they can snack on them all year long. If you’re one of those people, this is your alert that they’re back on shelves as we speak, baby.

- Pillsbury Grands! Pumpkin Spice Rolls
-
I promised it wouldn’t be all pumpkin spice all the time on this list of fall foods, and I intend to keep that promise! But hear me out: I just need to get the two heavy hitters of the season out of the way first. The folks at Pillsbury know their way around a place-and-bake cinnamon roll, so I trust them with my life on this one. Big fluffy cinnamon rolls stuffed with Cinnabon cinnamon and pumpkin spice, then topped with pumpkin spice icing? If you’re going to buy one pumpkin spice product from Target this fall, this is the best bang for your pumpkin spice buck.

- Pillsbury Ready-to-Bake Pumpkin Shape Sugar Cookie Dough
-
Speaking of limited releases, every other company should take note, because Pillsbury has perfected the limited release formula. Their ready-to-bake sugar cookie dough frequently aligns with major holidays, but that release schedule doesn’t cover the entire year. So if you want Pillsbury sugar cookies in cute shapes (it just taste better that way, right?), you better grab these pumpkins before the Santa Claus dough rolls out in the lead-up to Thanksgiving.

- Apple Pie Toast Crunch
-
Target stocks lots of pumpkin spice cereal, and that’s great. But the season just started and I’m already experiencing pumpkin spice fatigue, so let’s go with another festive option. I’ve never had Cinnamon Toast Crunch’s Apple Pie Toast Crunch, but it looks promising! I love the original and the Sporked team loved it when they tried it a couple of years ago. Cinnamon-apple is a no-brainer flavor combo, and having it in fall makes everything seem just right.
- Panera Bread Broccoli Cheddar Soup
-
There is a lot of sweet stuff on this list, so we need something savory and filling for balance. Thankfully, Panera Broccoli Cheddar soup is one of those great fall foods that’s pretty much always available at Target. So yeah, it’s not an official fall product, but it’s thick, hearty, soul-warming cheese soup, and if that doesn’t put you in the mood for leaf peeping and trick-or-treating, we don’t know what will. Panera sells a lot of ready-to-heat soup, but the Sporked crew decided this is the best of them all. “It’s so creamy and so cheesy and so indulgent,” taste-tester Gwynedd Stuart wrote. In other words, it’s the perfect fall food from Target to keep the fall chills at bay.
- Reduced Fat Caramel Maple Bourbon Pecan Pie Ice Cream
-
It’s hard to give my full endorsement to a reduced fat and low calorie ice cream. Too often the pints are just full of air and disappointment. But I have faith in this one! What can I say? Those tantalizing fall flavors won me over. You get maple, caramel, bourbon, and pecan pie all in one ice cream, and you can eat the whole pint becuase it’s only 410 calories. It’s the perfect fall food if you still have a few final beach trips on your post-Labor Day agenda.
- S’mores Spread with Graham Cracker Crumbles
-
If you always crave summer flavors in fall, this s’mores spread is a good buy. You can smear it on a graham cracker. Better yet, you can smear it on a graham cracker while you cozy up to a roaring fire under the starry sky while the crisp air kisses your nose and those first few leaves settle on the lawn. Or, you know, you can eat it directly out of the jar with a big ol’ spoon. Either way, this is the best fall food to pick up at Target if you’ll always be a little bit of a summer girlie at heart.
