Kraft Mac & Cheese has raised eyebrows in the past with flavors like hot honey, ranch, and everything bagel. But the newest Kraft Mac & Cheese flavor takes the cake…or should I say pie? Apple Pie Kraft Mac & Cheese is now available for purchase.

What do you mean Apple Pie Kraft Mac & Cheese?

When I first heard about this new mac and cheese flavor I figured it was inspired by apple pie topped with a slice of sharp cheddar cheese. (Never heard of that before? People do it.) But it’s not. It’s simply a mashup of two Thanksgiving favorites: mac and cheese and apple pie. Yes, the brand does mention the apple pie and cheddar cheese thing in the press release eventually, but it seems like it wasn’t the original intention.

Kraft describes the dessert-flavored mac and cheese as being “cheesy, spiced, and subtly tart.” Specifically, they call out cinnamon and green apple notes, along with the classic Kraft Mac & Cheese creamy cheesiness.

Where can I buy Apple Pie Kraft Mac & Cheese?

This swavory (sweet + savory) new Kraft Mac & Cheese flavor is available exclusively at Walmart for a limited time only. You can grab a box for $1.48, which is a reasonable price to pay for pie-flavored pasta.

Who is promoting Apple Pie Kraft Mac & Cheese?

I’m so glad you asked. Of course, the brand has partnered with Jason Biggs to promote this new flavor. You can watch his appropriately self-aware promotional spot here. And here’s his very brand-approved statement on the partnership: “I love that no matter your age, mac & cheese and apple pie are both Thanksgiving favorites that bring everyone together. Because of that, I wanted to ensure this partnership came to life in the same spirit with a nod to my past, but also reflecting where I’m at today. Similar to Kraft Mac & Cheese and I teaming up, this flavor combo is unexpected, but it just works.”

Will it actually work? Official Sporked review to come soon.

Hi! I’m the editor-in-chief of Sporked. I will never turn down a fresh-shucked oyster but I’ll also leap at whatever new product Reese’s releases and I love a Tostitos Hint of Lime, even if there is no actual lime in the ingredients. Why you should trust me: I have been writing about food and beverages for well over a decade and am an avid at-home cook and snacker. I began my career writing about fine dining and recipes, moved into cocktails and spirits, and now I talk about groceries. If you can eat it or drink it, I’ve probably written about it. What I buy every week: Trader Joe’s dried okra. Appleton Farms prosciutto from Aldi. Some sort of Trader Joe’s cheese (I’m into the aged gouda at the moment). Frozen waffles (usually the Eggo Cinnamon Toast Minis). Spindrift water (loving the Cosmopolitan right now). Favorite ranking: Smoked salmon. Imagine me as Scrooge McDuck but instead of coins I’m diving into a vault of slippery smoked salmon slices. Pure joy. I also found some real steals in that taste test! Least favorite ranking: Canned oysters. I had such high hopes for this but it quickly became a chore. The kitchen smelled like an uncleaned aquarium.

  • I’m tired of people partnering and promoting things. I’m either going to try this or not. I’m not going to say “It doesn’t sound that good, but OH MY if Jason Biggs says it is. Give me a break.
