We’re six weeks into 2026, and it’s already clear that this is Bad Bunny’s year. The Puerto Rican rapper, singer, and all-around icon has been on a supreme run of late, with his historic win at the Grammys and his equally historic Super Bowl halftime show coming in quick succession of each other, and causing us all to fall for him all over again.

Naturally, though, here at Sporked, we’re not just interested in Bad Bunny’s artistry (although we are very interested in that—“Debí Tirar Más Fotos” has been on constant rotation for us in the last 12 months). We’re also interested in what he likes to eat when he’s not carving out his own legend, or as a perfect Super Bowl meal, post-changing the world. The answer? It’s burgers from a New York-based chain that’s currently on the rise.

7th Street Burger Is Bad Bunny’s Go-To

Bad Bunny revealed his admiration for 7th Street Burgers in a sit-down interview with Spanish influencer Ibai Llanos. The superstar mentioned that when he’s in New York, he likes to stop by 7th Street and grab one of its smash burgers (with all the toppings: cheese, grilled onions and pickles), and also highlighted that he’d like to be able to have more of them (but, we imagine, is held back by his fitness regimen—hey, it takes a lot of work to be on top of the world!).

Bad Bunny’s love of 7th Street Burgers is no doubt music to the ears of the young chain, which started life just a few years ago. 7th Street opened its first restaurant in 2021, and in just five years, it’s basically exploded, now boasting over 20 individual locations, including restaurants in Washington D.C. and New Jersey. To be honest, it’s doing so well that it doesn’t really need a celebrity endorsement, but a shout-out from the biggest star in the world really can’t hurt, right?

Smash Hits, Smashburgers

7th Street Burger prefers to keep its patties flat and its flavors rich. It’s a smashburger joint, with the style generating maximum flavor by flattening the patties right onto the griddle, creating a wider surface area for the Maillard reaction to occur (that’s basically what generates all of that deep, beefy taste), before adding sweet, sweet dairy to make the ultimate cheeseburger. If you’re not lucky enough to have one near you, then making smashburgers is easy enough to do at home: Just grab your patty and flatten it while it cooks, before popping it into your favorite bun.

Bad Bunny is far from the only superstar to love a good burger, too. Remember Ice Cube rapping about Fatburger in “It Was A Good Day”? The food’s got a long lineage in popular music history, folks. As for his contemporaries, they’re also pretty partial to the allure of fast food: Doja Cat’s favorite fast food restaurant, for example, is Taco Bell, and lord knows she’s gone to bat for it more than once.
