Last year, Ben & Jerry’s Sundae Ice Cream line hit shelves for the first time. Flavors like Dulce De-lish!, Choco-lotta Cheesecake, Turtle, and Cookie Vermont-ster rocked freezer aisles nationwide. (Seriously: Per the press release that hit my inbox, Ben & Jerry’s Sundaes were the top new ice cream innovation of 2025.)

Ben & Jerry’s was nice enough to send over the three new flavors joining their illustrious Sundae lineup this year. Let’s see whether these live up to the high bar set by last year’s innovations.

Ben & Jerry's Sundae: PB Blondie Bestie

Peanut Butter Blondie!

Ben & Jerry’s Sundae: PB Blondie Bestie Ice Cream Review

Pros: Holy cow, these are actually entire sundaes packed into ice cream pints! Between the real swirl of whipped topping, added caramel, and the generous pile of peanut butter cups, there is legitimate presentation here.

Flavor-wise, this is very “blondie” from top (er, middle–read on for why) to bottom. The peanut butter ice cream is top-tier, while the layers of graham cracker are spread generously throughout the pint.

Cons: The top two inches of this pint are the aforementioned whipped topping, meaning the amount of actual ice cream in this pint of ice cream is less than you’d hope.

Ben & Jerry's Sundae: Straw-bae Shortcake

Strawberry Shortcake!

Ben & Jerry’s Sundae: Straw-Bae Shortcake Ice Cream Review

Pros: While you’d expect strawberries to make an appearance in a strawberry shortcake ice cream, the primary mix-in and topping is actually two different kinds of shortbread. Despite containing no strawberry chunks, the strawberry flavor delivered in syrup-swirl form is authentic and fantastic.

Rather than being strawberry-flavored, the ice cream is sweet cream-flavored. Ignoring the ouroboros that is cream-flavored cream, it does help sell the “strawberry shortcake” of it all.

Cons: The shortbread cookies mixed into the ice cream don’t make a particularly strong impression; I would have preferred shortbread dough chunks a la cookie dough.

Ben & Jerry's Sundae: Mocha Mood Pie

Just Plain Unnecessary!

Ben & Jerry’s Sundae: Mocha Mood Pie Ice Cream Review

Pros: This contained the least whipped topping of the trio, at just over an inch. The rich, strong chocolate cold brew ice cream (made with real coffee from BLK & Bold) is sure to appeal to coffee ice cream fans. Overall, Mocha Mood Pie is easily the densest option here, in both flavor and texture.

Cons: If you don’t like coffee, this is going to knock you out of your shoes. Additionally, much like the shortbread cookies in the Straw-Bae Shortcake Sundae, the homogeneous chocolate cookie chunks in this pint have no textural impact.
