The best Aldi appetizers in the frozen aisle can feed a whole party for under $15. They should be mouthwatering, crowd-pleasing, and easy to prepare. But believe it or not, the best Aldi frozen appetizers are harder to find than you might think, because of one big problem: flavor. Let’s talk about it.
Before anyone gets upset, I just want to say: I love Aldi. If I wasn’t so addicted to the ease and convenience of Ralphs free (yes, free) grocery pick-up, Aldi would be my go-to grocery store. It’s so affordable, easy to navigate, and stocked with unique products that you can’t get anywhere else. (Case in point: their Barissimo cold foam creamers.) But their selection of frozen appetizers could use a bit of an upgrade. I fully appreciate that I walked out with a cart full of Aldi appetizers for under $50. Plus, they offer a great variety—mozzarella sticks, jalapeño poppers, egg rolls, and more. But too many Aldi frozen appetizers just fall flat when it comes to flavor. They taste a little bit like real food drawn from memory. And I have higher, better expectations for Aldi than that!
That said, when Aldi gets it right, they really nail it. These are the four best Aldi frozen appetizers that actually delivered the delicious finger food they promised. Snack smarter, not harder, am I right?
- Mama Cozzi’s Pizza Kitchen Five Cheese Texas Toast
-
Mama Cozzi’s Five Cheese Texas Toast isn’t winning any awards for being the best cheesy garlic bread we’ve ever tasted, but you better believe this stuff will disappear at a party—and quick. The bread is soft, squishy, lightly greasy (which personally, I appreciate), and decently cheesy. You can always add more mozzarella and cheddar, just saying! This crispy, golden-brown bread’s biggest flaw is that it smells so garlicky and inviting, you think you’re in for a flavor explosion. But each bite is much more bland than you would expect. Still, you get six pieces of garlic bread for only $2.99, so honestly, it’s a budget-friendly contender for anyone sampling the best Aldi frozen appetizers—especially if you’re willing to doctor it up a bit.

- Bistro Mini Quiches
-
These cute frozen mini quiches from Aldi come in three flavors: Spinach & Artichoke, Lorraine, and 3 Cheese & Onion. The little pie shells are very buttery and smooth—no soggy bottoms in sight. My big critique, again, is flavor. These are a bit bland. But they bake very neatly, and the tops get a nice broiled texture without burning the pastry. They aren’t the best Aldi appetizers you can buy, but for fancy finger food that will make your guests light up when they see them, you really can’t go wrong.

- Casa Mamita Queso Stuffed Nachos
-
Remember: Flavor is king. These top two Aldi appetizers finally delivered on that. I don’t know where Casa Mamita’s Questo Stuffed Nachos have been all the times I needed a 2 a.m.pick-me-up, but these are the perfect party (and post-party) snacks. Puffy, breaded, stuffed nachos are kind of a novelty, really. The breading has a real peppery kick to it, and the greasy molten cheese inside tastes like authentic queso, with bits of red pepper, too. I do have to dock points for being inconsistent—some of the nachos are disappointingly light on that delicious cheese filling. Still, these are unique, boldly seasoned, and easily one of the best Aldi frozen appetizers you can pick up.

- Bremer Cheddar Pierogi
-
Y’all, we adored these pierogi. (Apparently, pierogi is the correct plural of pierog; you learn something new every day.) We didn’t try them in our last pierogi ranking, so I can’t say I know for certain how they would measure up against Mr. T’s, but they’re definitely some of the best frozen pierogi I’ve had in a long time. They’re pillowy, buttery, and neatly seasoned, with a soft dumpling wrapper that’s the perfect thickness and easy to pan-sear. I’m definitely grabbing a bag on my own dime the next time I’m at Aldi. I know they’d be amazing out of an air fryer, served with sour cream and caramelized onions. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised these are the best Aldi appetizers to buy, since Aldi has 240 stores in Poland and can’t be caught selling subpar pierogi to its country of origin. Seriously, stock up!
