Now, if it were up to me I think we all know what would be named the best Costco product of 2025. Say it with me everyone: The $1.50 hot dog combo. While it’s certainly a perennial fave—and the tastiest thing you can get at the Costco snack bar, according to the Sporked team—what we’re focusing on here today are the best Costco groceries from our many taste tests this year. Things you can take home to enjoy…after you’ve had your hot dog at the store. Here are six of the best Costco products we tasted this year.

Synear Xiao Long Bao Pork Soup Dumplings

Where besides Costco could you buy a colossal bag of 50 restaurant-quality soup dumplings? That’s, like, $100 worth of dumplings at Din Tai Fung for the bargain price of around 15 bucks. These soup dumplings are fragrant, flavorful and the broth really makes an impression. Just make sure you have room in your freezer.

Kirkland Tempura Shrimp

First we had restaurant-quality dumplings, and now we have tempura shrimp that’s even better than what you’ll find at most restaurants. “The batter is ethereal, it’s so light,” Sporked EIC Justine Sterling wrote when she ranked the best frozen food at Costco. “And the shrimp is nicely seasoned and firm. The dipping sauce is great, too—like sweetened soy sauce.” I love when a dipping sauce is included in the box, so I’m sold.

Kirkland Chocolate Cake Filled with Chocolate Mousse

According to taste-tester Jordan Myrick, this cake from Costco’s bakery is worth the cost of a yearly membership. Welp, the rest of the team tasted it and agreed. The cake is super moist and the frosting is extremely fudgey—the perfect birthday cake, but also the best depression cake and the best store bought chocolate cake period. The whole team thinks about this thing A LOT.

Kirkland Supreme Cauliflower Crust Pizza

I can already see the doubters hitting the comments for this one. “How could a cauliflower crust pizza beat out every other pizza Costco’s selling?” Just think about it this way. How good is the cauliflower crust pizza that it’s beating out all those Basic Betties that are next to it? Damn good. Like in every way imaginable. The toppings are flavorful (the fennel-laced sausage in particular), it’s covered in a blanket of gooey cheese with the perfect amount of savory sauce, and the cauliflower crust adds a nice chew to everything. Leave it to Costco to make a cauliflower crust pizza that doesn’t suck.

Kirkland Signature Smoked Pulled Pork

Sorry to your uncle and his beloved Big Green Egg, but he can put that thing away early this year. We’re living in an era when you can get smoky, tender pulled pork straight from the grocery store without having to wait 10 to 16 hours. Costco’s pulled pork, which comes refrigerated so it’s ready to microwave, is tender and comes in nice big pieces so you can make a pulled pork sandwich with some heft to it. Seriously, this feels like cheating.

Kirkland Signature Garlic Butter Shrimp

Okay, real talk: You could probably douse an old sneaker in garlic butter and it would be delicious, but shrimp is better. A lot better. This ready-to-nuke scampi includes firm shrimp (not mushy like so many frozen shrimp), and a rich, buttery sauce with just the right amount of garlic, all in a bag that weighs more than a newborn baby. Boil some linguine and dinner is done.
