A whole award for frozen breakfast foods? You bet! There’s a lot of ‘em out there. This year we tried everything from breakfast sandwiches and frozen waffles to Jimmy Dean’s full line-up. And we were truly wowed by two entries: one that’s perfect for busy vegans and another that both gluten-free folks and gluten-full folks can agree on.

- Amy’s Breakfast Tofu Scramble
-
I tasted this meal when I was searching for the best vegan frozen meals and it really did it for me. The tofu is savory and tender and scrambled with a ton of vegetables so it feels super wholesome and healthy. It comes with shredded potatoes and a really delicious tomato sauce that tastes fresh and zesty. There’s not enough tomato sauce for our tastes, but it’s still one of the best frozen breakfast items we had all year.

- Start Right Waffle Sliders Sausage & Cheese
-
It’s still impossible to believe that this frozen breakfast sandwich is actually gluten free—but it is! It’s like the best fast food breakfast sandwich ever but it’s cheaper and ready after just a couple minutes in the microwave. The sausage is classic breakfast sausage. The gluten free waffles have just a touch of sweetness. And the American cheese is melty and gooey and brings everything together. Yes, this is the best frozen breakfast we had this year—but don’t let that stop you from enjoying one of these babies at midnight.
