The 4 Best Tasting Keto Bars for Anyone on the Keto Diet

I will start off by admitting that, no, I’m not on the keto diet. Except in cases where it’s medically necessary, I’m pretty against diets in general. I am, however, an extremely qualified taste tester and I know when food is delicious—and when it’s not.

Amanda Lehan-Canto, Smosh cast member and fellow person not on the keto diet, joined me to try an array of keto bars on the market. I will tell you right now, a lot of the keto bars we tasted were very, very bad. Like, unbelievably bad. The four below, however, were not! I guarantee you that if I, a keto-hating, carb-loving sugar monster, could like these bars, anyone doing the keto diet will enjoy them too.

Best of the Best

Elevation Salted Caramel Keto Bar

Not all Elevation bars are created equal so make sure you’re reaching for the right one. The Salted Caramel Keto Bar is the right one. It looks more like a candy bar than anything else we tried, which is extremely appealing. It smells like a caramel macchiato from Starbucks. The texture is so much softer than most of the other bars we tried (which were like compressed sand). It’s sweet, caramelly, and chocolatey. I imagine that if you are on the keto diet, this bar will be the most delicious thing you’ve eaten in a long time.

Best Chocolate

Elevation Chocolate Almond Brownie Keto Bar

The Elevation Chocolate Almond Brownie is another good option from Elevation’s line of keto protein bars. It’s nice and soft, which is hard to find in a keto bar. If you try to break it, it gently bends before snapping. It has an incredibly deep chocolate flavor and coffee undertones. There’s a little bit of a crunch. I believe Keto chocolate lovers will be very happy with this bar and maybe even think it could be a real brownie.

Most Unique

Dang Lemon Matcha Bar

The keto industry owes a big thank you to Dang. They are one of the only companies out there making unique keto bars. These Dang products are not trying to replicate decadent desserts. They’re doing their own thing! This bar tastes very natural and has no weird chemical aftertaste. The lemon tastes like real lemon and not citric acid. The matcha flavor is light. If you’re not a chocolate lover, this is the bar you should be reaching for.

Best for Nut Lovers

Keto Krisp Almond Butter and Blackberry Jelly

Keto Krisp is one of the better keto bar brands on the market. Overall, their best flavor is the Almond Butter and Blackberry Jelly. It tastes like a school lunch or going on a nice hike. It’s more refreshing than other bars we tried. I know saying a protein bar is “refreshing” might sound weird, but it’s true! It’s light and crunchy. Amanda said it reminded her of a “picnic with my gals.” The flavor of the peanut isn’t too overwhelming. It’s very balanced and I love that.
