What would you do for a Klondike Bar? Personally, I would go to a store and buy one because they are delicious and reasonably priced. I’ve always loved the classic Klondike Bar (chocolate shell filled with vanilla ice cream), but I had no idea they came in so many other flavors! We had as many flavors as we could find delivered to Sporked HQ so we could taste them and determine if any live up to the perfection of the original.
The answer is no, sadly. Nothing is as good as the original. Multiple flavors did come pretty close, though! Here are the top five Klondike Bar flavors.

- The Original
-
The original Klondike Bar is 100% perfect. The ice cream is simple, incredibly creamy, flavored with just the right amount of vanilla, and, to my surprise, much lighter than I remember it being. It’s like a cloud that melts in your mouth. The signature chocolate coating is so thin and crispy, like a sheet of chocolate glass. I can’t deny that they knew what they were doing when they invented the Klondike Bar. The other flavors are great, but nothing comes close to the OG.

- Mint Chocolate Chip
-
Mint and chocolate are a wonderful pairing, so it’s unsurprising that the Mint Chocolate Chip Klondike Bar was a standout in the group. What is surprising is that it crushed every other Klondike Bar in the texture category (even the !). Tiny chocolate chips are peppered throughout the bar, giving it a great crunch. The mint flavor is subtle and pleasant. If you must stray from the Original Klondike, Mint Chocolate Chip is my #1 suggestion.

- Reese’s
-
I loved the Reese’s Klondike Bar because it tastes like this peanut butter chocolate soft serve I ate at Kohr’s Brothers, my favorite ice cream shop growing up. If you didn’t grow up going to Kohr’s Brothers, just trust me when I say you’d really like it. Now that I don’t live near a Kohr’s Brothers, this might be the next best thing. The peanut butter ice cream inside is so fluffy and smooth. An added bonus is that this bar doesn’t just taste like peanut butter—it specifically tastes like Reese’s peanut butter. A+ for authenticity.

- Vanilla No Sugar Added
-
Typically, I am 100% anti diet foods. They always taste bad and feel like a complete waste of time. If I’m going to eat a cookie, I want to eat a good cookie—not a keto, carb-free, collagen cookie “bar” or whatever. Klondike made me eat my words, though, because their Vanilla No Sugar Added Klondike Bars are genuinely tasty. They don’t taste like Splenda or have a weird aftertaste like most sugar-free products. The flavor is shockingly similar to the original Klondike Bar. The biggest difference is the texture of the ice cream. It’s a little more stiff and icy, but it was still good in its own weird way. You did it, Klondike! You got me on board with a sugar-free product!

- Double Chocolate
-
When you say double chocolate, I expect to be slapped across the face with rich, intense chocolate flavor. Unfortunately, these Double Chocolate Klondike Bars did not do that. But while they were a little lacking in the chocolate department for my taste the other Sporked team tasters enjoyed them. They found them to be light and not overpoweringly chocolaty. We did all agree on one thing: The shell on these bad boys should be dark chocolate and then they would be incredible.
