To me, Kroger’s sweet pickle relish is basically dill pickle relish. It’s so tart and tangy with just a slight hint of sweetness. For me, this is ideal. It ranks low on this list simply because I understand that people will typically want more sweetness than what Kroger’s relish offers. That being said, if you’re open to mixing it up or you love zesty pickles like me, grab a jar of this relish!

Not only does this sweet pickle relish taste good, it’s quicker and easier to use than other brands. You can squirt it directly onto your hot dog! Del Monte’s sweet pickle relish is the best sweet pickle relish we tried. It converted me from a sweet relish hater to a sweet relish lover. This sweet relish is made with real sugar, too! Additionally, it contains dehydrated red peppers, onions, and mustard seeds for added flavor. The taste of this sweet pickle relish is diverse, interesting, and just plain delicious. Good job, Del Monte!

Back in2023 it had a better taste, but as of yesterday as I was making my traditional salmon tuna, I opened 2 bottles that had a terrible taste. When I use to open Delmonte relish it had a sweet smell. This smell in both bottles was like metal or something I could not explain. The pickles were not sweet. Something is different. I put my issue in Chat GPT who stated there were concerns from others as well. Since usually buy in 2’s and it is too late to take them back, I will try another brand and taste it immediately. I suggest you smell it and taste it. So I did end up putting raisins in mine to get that sweet taste as it was better than nothing.
Hawaii will only use Del Monte for tartar sauce.
