Best Talenti Flavors: The 7 Best Talenti Flavors Fit for Your Spoon

The best Talenti flavors are not only packaged in an extremely pleasing and very reusable jar, they’re also creamy, vibrant, and impossible to put down. We tried every Talenti flavor we could get our hands on to find the very best ones.

I’ve always been intrigued by Talenti, largely because of the company’s ad campaign with Top Chef. And I have seen many people reuse the very elegant plastic jars as salad containers or to hold their overnight oats. It’s a brand I’m highly aware of, highly intrigued by, but have never actually purchased. I’ll tell you why: I thought it would be bland. In a world of Ben & Jerry’s and Salt & Straw, I assumed these Talenti gelato flavors would be unimpressive. I am happy to say, I was wrong. There were more mix-ins than I thought and the base ice creams alone were good enough that I had to stop myself from stealing a jar and scarfing it all down in the corner like some sort of gelato gremlin.

Here are the best Talenti flavors you can (and should) buy.

Talenti Raspberry Cheesecake

Best of the Best

Raspberry Cheesecake

Judging this book by its cover, I would never have thought this would be one of the best Talenti flavors, let alone the best. But ooo-wee. It is good. The raspberry is tart and tangy and fresh. The cheesecake flavor is like genuine cheesecake. “It’s decadent but piquant,” my colleague Danny Palumbo said. It’s so good, you start talking like that. You want to raise your pinky as you bring a spoonful to your mouth. We fought over who would get to bring this pint home. It’s just such a balance of harmonious flavors, that you cannot stop yourself from going back for bite after bite.

Talenti Sea Salt Caramel

Best Chunky

Sea Salt Caramel

You wouldn’t know this is chunky from the outside. It looks like plain caramel ice cream. But then you dig in and uncover chocolate-covered salted caramel truffles. These things are a flavor blast. They add just the right amount of crunch, along with a toasty, salty burst from the gooey caramel. The base ice cream is also just right—not too sweet, the perfect amount of salt. I am not a huge caramel person but even I loved this pint. So if you are a caramel lover, this is the best Talenti flavor for you. Our one complaint? Sporked writer Jordan Myrick could do with even more truffles.

Talenti Alphonso Mango Sorbetto

Best Sorbet

Alphonso Mango Sorbetto

This Talenti Sorbetto is a celebration of mango. It tastes like you froze a mango, blended it up, and then refroze it for a silky, creamy (without the cream) sorbet. “I’ve eaten an entire pint of this without intending to,” said editorial assistant Naajia Shukri. “It’s sweet but also a little tart in a way that’s pleasant and necessary.” You don’t even notice the lack of chunks or mix-ins. This is pure fruit, baby. It’s definitely one of the best Talenti flavors for those who lean fruity rather than chocolatey.

Talenti Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup

Best Chocolatey

Peanut Butter Cup

The base of this Talenti flavor is extremely good, extremely high quality milk chocolate ice cream. That’s practically good enough on its own, but then the brilliant ice cream scientists decided to swirl in some real, honest-to-god peanut butter. And then, as if that wasn’t satisfying enough, they added little peanut butter cups. The mix leans more chocolatey than peanut-buttery, but it’s just plain great. Out of all the Talenti flavors we tried, I think this is the one I will come back to the most.

Talenti Roman Raspberry

Best Sorbet (Runner-Up)

Roman Raspberry Sorbetto

“This tastes so much better than the fruit,” said Jordan. So, if you’re looking to replace your daily fruit intake with ice cream, this is the Talenti flavor for you. (Please don’t actually do that.) It has a super strong raspberry flavor, a touch of tartness, and a gorgeous texture. If you’re hosting a very fancy dinner party and looking for a palate cleanser, give everyone a dainty scoop of this Talenti sorbet (then eat the rest of the pint by yourself when everyone leaves).

Talenti Strawberry Margarita

Best Cocktail-Inspired

Strawberry Margarita Sorbetto Pairings

This really does taste like a Strawberry Margarita. In fact, it specifically tastes like a Strawberry Margarita made with reposado (aged) tequila. There’s definitely more Margarita than strawberry, but if you’re advertising a Margarita-flavored sorbet, that’s exactly what I want. This is one of the best Talenti flavors that pushes the boundaries. It swirls two complementary flavors together in a way I haven’t seen other ice creams attempt. It’s fresh. It’s smooth. It’s a little grown-up.

Talenti Caramel Pretzel Blondie

Best Over-the-Top

Caramel Pretzel Blondie Gelato Pairings

Another one of Talenti’s pairings, this pint matches sea salt caramel gelato with salted pretzel-flavored gelato with blondie pieces. On their own, these are two new flavors. Swirled together? They make a decadent combo. You can have one bite and be satiated. “J’adore,” said Jordan, who could suddenly speak French after trying this Italian gelato. “I love caramel, I love salt, I love pretzel in a dessert. I don’t care one bit about a blondie, but she’s welcome here too.” Once again the only critique that held this pint back from being higher on the list of best Talenti flavors was the slight lack of chunks. Hey, Talenti, give us the chunks!

  • What happened to Old World Eggnog flavor? It’s my favorite and I haven’t been able to find it anywhere around Lakeside, CA. If you’re still producing this flavor how can I purchase it? How much would I have to buy to have it shipped direct to my home? I would appreciate it if you could give me some info.
