People sure love the show Yellowstone. Taylor Sheridan’s neo-Western about a family of ranchers (please don’t ask me for more details than that!) has spawned a major fandom, a slew of spinoffs, and more than a few Yellowstone products, including Yellowstone coffee, Yellowstone frozen meals, and Yellowstone jerky. Like, sure, why not? Give the people what they want, especially if they can’t have more Kevin Costner in a cowboy hat—merch!
The series drew to a close on December 15, and we imagine that’s pretty sad for fans of the show. Would some microwaved meatloaf make you feel better? How about Jimmy’s Cowboy Chili? It’s worth a shot. I recently taste tested a bunch of Yellowstone products with my Mythical colleague Taylor Dolniak, who is a big Yellowstone fan. Here are the best Yellowstone products to sob into while you wait for the next spinoff to premiere.

- Yellowstone Baked Beans with Bacon
-
I’ve taste tested a lot of baked beans (see look!) and these are good. Not necessarily good enough to make our ranking of the best baked beans, but good. They’re very smoky. They taste like something you’d eat on a camping trip, which I imagine is what they were going for. If you have a home, home on the range, these Yellowstone baked beans are a good addition to your pantry, although we can’t recommend their BBQ baked beans; they are just way too sweet.

- Yellowstone Ranch House Dark Roast K Cups
-
Yellowstone coffee should put some hair on your chest. It should taste like a cowboy would drink it. And I think this Yellowstone coffee pulls that off. It has a bold and robust flavor, with just a touch of bitterness. We only tried these grounds in K Cup format, but they sell them by the bag, too. You know, in case you are actually making coffee in a percolator over a campfire—cowboys and Keurigs don’t really mix, I suppose.

- Yellowstone Angus Beef Sticks
-
Yellowstone teamed up with Cattleman’s Cut for its beef sticks and dried sausages, and they’re pretty damn good. The Angus Beef Sticks and the Hunter’s Sausage were our favorites, but only the bagged version; the individually wrapped Slim Jim-style beef sticks were not as good. Buy these not those. The Angus sticks have a slightly softer chew and a little less smoke than the Hunter’s Sausage, but they’re still flavorful and beefy. You won’t regret tossing a pack of these in your saddlebag—or in your glove box, as it were.

- Yellowstone Hunter’s Sausage
-
No, there is no one named Hunter on the show Yellowstone. These are “hunter’s sausages” in that they are sausages for hunters. These are made from beef and pork (not things you hunt), and they’re very delicious. They have a firm bite and lots of smoke. I do wish the casing was a little snappier, but it’s not a deal breaker.

- Yellowstone Bunkhouse Braised Beef Stew
-
The rest of the Yellowstone products on this list are from the line of Yellowstone frozen meals, which are pretty okay, especially considering they’re brand tie-ins. This beef stew was the worst of the best. The potatoes are a little bit grainy, the peas and carrots are underdone, and the beef is hard—but once you get to chewing, everything sort of works, especially in the beer-based gravy, which is savory and has some dimension beyond salty beef juice. There are better Yellowstone frozen meals, but you could do worse if you’re really craving stew.

- Jimmy’s Cowboy Chili with Beans
-
There are a couple of canned chilis in the lineup of Yellowstone products, but this frozen chili is much better than the canned chilis. The kidney beans are big, and there’s a lot of ground beef in the mix. The sauce is nicely spiced and the dish has a tomato-forward flavor. It’s a big bowl of mush, but it’s not bad.

- Yellowstone Rip’s Ranch Hand Beef and Cheese Pasta Bake
-
This was my personal favorite of the Yellowstone frozen meals. From what I gather, it is named after Rip Wheeler, who is the ranch’s tough guy. Would he eat this microwaved goulash? Sure, why not? The cavatappi pasta is firm and springy, and it’s flavorful even though it isn’t super saucy. I actually appreciate that this is a little on the dry side since microwave beefy mac can be greasy as all hell. This won’t blow anyone away (although Rip might!), but it kept me coming back for bites.

- Yellowstone Dutton Family BBQ Meatloaf and Mash
-
This was Taylor’s favorite of all the Yellowstone products, and since I respect his opinion as a real-deal Yellowstone fan, it lands in the top spot. You get two little meatloaf patties, and I do think they are better than a lot of frozen meatloaf patties. They’re definitely Salisbury steak-esque, but they are pleasant to eat. I didn’t feel like I was going to bite down on gristle with every bite, plus the BBQ sauce they’re served in is sweet but complementary to the meatloaf and mashed potatoes. It’s so sugary that it actually kind of caramelized around the edges of the microwavable tray. We ate a lot of this by the end of the taste test.
